Press Release Examples: 7 Real B2B SaaS Releases and What Each Does Well

Seven real press releases from B2B software companies (funding, product launch, partnership, revenue milestone, executive hire, research and event), each linked to the original and annotated with what to copy.

The best press release examples for a B2B software company come from other B2B software companies. Below are seven real releases from SaaS companies, one for each type of news you are likely to announce: a funding round, a product launch, a partnership, a revenue milestone, an executive hire, a research report and an event. Each one links to the original, with notes on what it does well and what to copy.

When we checked the Google results for this term in late October 2026, the top pages mixed consumer examples (restaurant chains, snack brands, a pickleball event), invented samples and lists of headlines. One of the top five had no real releases at all. A B2B buyer reads a funding round or an integration launch differently from a new cookie flavor, so every example here is a real B2B software release.

To write your own, start from our free press release template, which has the standard format, a headline formula for each of these seven types of news and a Word file.

What do the best B2B SaaS press releases have in common?

Across the seven examples, the same five habits show up:

HabitWhere you can see it
The headline names the company, the action and a number or a nameUnify ($40 million), Front ($100M ARR), INBOUND (four headliners)
An outside voice is quoted, not only the CEOUnify quotes a customer at Perplexity; the Outreach release quotes Siemens
The news is tied to a trend in the buyer’s worldFront’s milestone “as companies embrace human-centric AI”; 6sense’s shorter buying cycles
The facts a reporter needs are easy to scanHubSpot’s bulleted “featured releases”; 6sense’s list of findings
There is one clear next step6sense links the report and a webinar; HubSpot links registration

These match what reporters say they want. In Cision’s 2025 State of the Media report, a survey of more than 3,000 journalists, 72% called press releases the most useful resource PR teams can offer. The same survey found that 86% immediately reject a pitch that does not fit their beat, so the release only works when it reaches the right reporter.

1. Funding announcement: Unify’s $40 million Series B

Release: Unify Raises $40 Million Series B to Transform Go-To-Market with AI (Business Wire, July 2025)

Unify sells an AI platform for go-to-market teams. The first paragraph gives the round ($40 million), the lead investor (Battery Ventures), other investors including the OpenAI Startup Fund, Thrive Capital and Emergence Capital, and the fact that it follows a $12 million Series A raised nine months earlier.

What it does well:

  • It proves growth with one number. The release says revenue grew 8x year over year. A funding release without a growth number reads as a list of investors.
  • It quotes a customer. Next to the CEO and the Battery partner joining the board, a product marketing lead at Perplexity says what Unify does for Perplexity’s sales team. Most funding releases skip the customer, and it is the quote a trade reporter is most likely to use.
  • It names customers. Airwallex, Cursor, Flock Safety, Perplexity and Together AI appear in the body, which tells readers which market the company sells to.

What to copy: one growth number, one customer quote, and the investor names in the first paragraph.

2. Product launch: HubSpot’s Breeze at INBOUND 2024

Release: HubSpot Launches New AI, Breeze, Plus Hundreds of Product Updates at INBOUND 2024 (Business Wire, 18 September 2024)

A launch with more than 200 updates is hard to write about. HubSpot solved it by putting one name in the headline (Breeze) and moving the rest into scannable lists.

What it does well:

  • It opens with the buyer’s problem, not the product. The first section lists three problems go-to-market teams have, with numbers, before the product appears: teams switching between an average of 15 point solutions, nearly 80% of leaders saying they are not getting value from their tech stacks, and 7 in 10 businesses reporting disconnected data. The release cites its own research for these.
  • It uses bullets for the detail. A “featured releases” list groups Breeze Copilot, four Breeze Agents, Breeze Intelligence and the marketing updates, with sub-bullets for each. A reporter can pull the facts without reading every paragraph.
  • It gives sizes. Four agents, 80 more features across the platform, a data set of more than 200 million buyer and company profiles.

What to copy: one product name in the headline, the problem first, and bullets for everything else. If your launch is smaller, one feature and one beta customer result is enough.

3. Partnership: Siemens and Outreach

Release: Siemens and Outreach Partner to Enhance Sales Execution (Business Wire, 30 April 2025)

Outreach, a sales execution platform, announced an expanded partnership with the Digital Industries business of Siemens. The subheadline explains the news: the two companies expanded their relationship after a sales engagement project for the Siemens team.

What it does well:

  • The customer’s name comes first. The headline leads with Siemens, the name most readers will recognize. For a vendor, a well-known customer that agrees to be named is worth more than any adjective.
  • The customer’s executive speaks. Siemens Digital Industries’ EVP of Sales and Marketing is quoted next to Outreach’s CEO. That turns a vendor announcement into a customer story.
  • It gives scope a reporter can use. Outreach is live in 20 countries for the business, and Siemens plans to extend Outreach’s forecasting to its remaining territories in 2025.

What to copy: if a large customer will put its name and an executive quote on the release, lead the headline with the customer.

4. Revenue milestone: Front passes $100M ARR

Release: Front Surpasses $100M ARR as Companies Embrace Human-Centric AI for Customer Operations (Business Wire, September 2025)

Front, a customer operations platform, announced it had passed $100 million in annual recurring revenue. The release says more than 9,000 companies use it.

What it does well:

  • The headline adds a trend. “As companies embrace human-centric AI” gives a reporter a story about the market, not only about one company’s revenue.
  • It backs the milestone with recent momentum. The release points to the company’s strongest new-business quarter and the most deals above $50K in annual contract value in its history.
  • It has a companion post. On the same day, the CEO published a longer blog post on the milestone with named customer results. The release stays short, and the detail lives on the company’s own site.

What to copy: tie the milestone to a trend in your buyers’ world, and publish the longer story on your blog the same day.

5. Executive hire: Spekit appoints its first CMO

Release: Spekit Appoints Veteran Marketing Leader Ian Lowe as Chief Marketing Officer to Ignite the Next Chapter of AI-Driven Revenue Enablement (Newswire, Denver, 29 October 2025)

Spekit, a revenue enablement platform, announced Ian Lowe as its first chief marketing officer.

What it does well:

  • The hire is tied to the company’s plan. The release explains the appointment as part of Spekit’s move toward one AI-driven system for revenue teams, so the news is about strategy, not a new name on the website.
  • The new hire’s record has a number. His prior roles are named (Sitecore, Crownpeak, Level Access) along with one result: leading a marketing team at Level Access to more than $100 million in ARR.
  • Both the CEO and the new CMO are quoted, each with a different reason the hire makes sense.

What to copy: name prior employers, one result with a number, and the job the person was hired to do. A hire release without a reason reads like a LinkedIn update.

6. Research release: 6sense’s 2025 Buyer Experience Report

Release: The Timeline for Influencing B2B Buyers Is Shrinking: Insights From 6sense’s 2025 Buyer Experience Report (Business Wire, 12 November 2025)

This is the strongest example on the list for a B2B company that owns data.

What it does well:

  • The headline is the finding. “The timeline for influencing B2B buyers is shrinking” is a sentence a reporter can use as their own headline.
  • It states the method. More than 4,000 buyers across North America, EMEA and APAC. Reporters need the sample before they can cite a number.
  • It lists the findings as numbers. Among them: 94% of buying groups ranked their preferred vendors before first contact with a seller, the preferred vendor won 80% of the time, and buying cycles shortened from about 11 months to 10.
  • It ends with two next steps and a contact. A link to the full report, a webinar on 18 November, and a press email address.

What to copy: put the finding in the headline, the sample in the first paragraphs, and the numbers in a list. If you are writing the report itself, our white paper template covers how to lay out the method and sources.

7. Event announcement: HubSpot’s INBOUND 2025 headliners

Release: Amy Poehler, Marques Brownlee, Sean Evans, and Dario Amodei to headline INBOUND 2025 in San Francisco (HubSpot newsroom, also on Business Wire, 13 May 2025)

HubSpot announced the speakers for INBOUND 2025, held on 3 to 5 September 2025 in San Francisco, the first time the event moved there.

What it does well:

  • The news is the speakers. An event date alone is not news. Four recognizable names in the headline give entertainment, tech and business reporters a reason to write.
  • It gives every detail an attendee needs. Dates, city, the speaker line-up by theme, new show-floor zones, an AI startup pitch competition with a $50,000 prize, and a giveaway of 20 free general admission passes.
  • It ends with registration. The call to action is the registration page.

What to copy: announce an event when you have something new to say about it (speakers, a venue, a program), not only when you open registration.

What should you avoid in a B2B press release?

Four mistakes undo an otherwise good release:

  • A headline with no news. “[Company] Announces Exciting New Partnership” tells a reporter nothing. Name the partner and the result.
  • Quotes that repeat the facts. A quote should give an opinion or a reason. If you could delete it without losing anything, rewrite it.
  • Numbers with no source. In the Cision survey, 72% of journalists said they worry about factual errors in AI-generated PR content. Every number in your release should trace back to a source you can show.
  • Sending it to everyone. A release sent to a list of thousands reaches few of the reporters who cover your category. Pair it with a short personal pitch, like the ones in our media pitch examples.

How do you write your own?

  1. Pick the type of news, and check it against the examples above: does yours have the growth number, the customer, the finding or the name that makes it news?
  2. Fill in the press release template: headline formula, lead paragraph, two quotes, boilerplate, media contact.
  3. Get every quote and customer name approved in writing.
  4. Publish on your own newsroom page, then pitch the five to ten reporters who covered your category recently.

Our PR and awards service writes releases and award entries, pitches the reporters who cover your market and sends you every mention each month. If you are deciding whether to hire a full agency, our guide to SaaS PR agencies covers what they cost and when one makes sense.

Frequently asked

What is a good example of a press release?

One where the headline alone tells the story and the first paragraph answers who, what, when, where and why. For B2B software, 6sense's November 2025 release on its Buyer Experience Report is a strong model: the headline is the finding, the release states the sample (more than 4,000 buyers), gives the top numbers, quotes the researcher and ends with a link to the report and a press email.

What are the main types of press releases for a SaaS company?

Seven cover most news: funding rounds, product launches, partnerships and integrations, customer or revenue milestones, executive hires, research or data releases, and events. Each needs different facts in the first two paragraphs. A funding release needs the round, the lead investor and what the money funds; a research release needs the finding, the sample and the method.

How long should a press release be?

PR Newswire's writing guide suggests 300 to 500 words, and a shorter release for a minor update. Releases with a lot of product detail, like HubSpot's INBOUND 2024 launch, run longer and use bullets so reporters can scan them. If yours needs more than 500 words, move the detail to a blog post or report and link to it.

Where can I find real press release examples?

On company newsroom pages (often at /news, /press or /company-news) and on wire services such as Business Wire and PR Newswire, which you can search by company or industry. Look for releases from companies your size, in your category, that earned coverage you can find in trade publications.

What is the difference between a press release and a media pitch?

A press release is the public announcement, written in the third person for anyone to read and reuse. A media pitch is a short private email to one reporter that offers them the story and explains why it fits what they cover. Send the pitch, and link or attach the release.
