internal stakeholders in a typical B2B buying decision (Forrester, January 2026)

Why it matters

A typical B2B decision includes 13 insiders

Forrester's State of Business Buying 2026 counts 13 internal stakeholders and nine external influencers in a typical buying decision, and more for complex purchases. Procurement is a decision-maker in 53% of buying cycles. A message to one contact per account reaches a small part of that group.

What you get

What our account based marketing work includes

Tiered account lists

We tier your target accounts by fit and buying signals, scored against the deals you have already closed.

Across the buying group

We research the people in each account and write each contact their own email and LinkedIn message.

Written for each tier

Under 50 accounts, each touch is written for one account. Up to 200, for small clusters. Above that, per segment.

Ads to the same accounts

The Paid ads process runs LinkedIn ads to your target accounts, each campaign with its own landing page.

Replies to the seller

Interested replies reach the seller who owns the account in Slack the same day, with our research attached.

Seen before it runs

Every message and every ad waits for your approval before it goes out under your name.

How it starts

How account based marketing starts at Growigami

  1. Two colleagues talking across a table in a bright office

    Give us CRM read access

We read the deals you closed to see which accounts buy and who signs.

  2. Three colleagues around a table in a team review

    See the first process

Within a week we show the ABM process we would build first and what it would produce.

  3. Two colleagues working through something together at a shared table

Your CRO runs it by hand

Your CRO writes the first messages for each tier and runs them until replies come in.

  4. Agents take the weekly work

AI agents research accounts and draft messages each week, and replies reach the account's seller that day.

An account based marketing agency picks a named list of target companies with you and runs campaigns aimed at the people who buy inside each one. MarketerHire’s July 2026 guide puts growth-stage ABM retainers at $10,000 to $25,000 a month, with media spend on top. Growigami runs account based outreach to 500 target accounts for $1,999 a month.

Start with one process and have it running in about three weeks. Your CRO, who builds and proves each process, tiers the accounts, writes the first messages and runs them by hand until replies come in. AI agents then take over the weekly research and writing, and interested replies go to the seller who owns the account.

What does an account based marketing agency charge?

Few publish it. Directive’s list of the 20 best B2B ABM agencies to watch in 2026, published in October 2025 with Directive at number one, marks all 20 as custom pricing. It ranked fourth on Google for account based marketing agency on 4 November 2026 (Ahrefs). One of the 20, strategicabm, does post a price on its own pricing page: from $20,000 a month, read on 5 November 2026. The fullest public numbers come from MarketerHire, which sells fractional marketers and publishes price bands for the agencies it compares.

Add the lines before you compare. A $10,000 growth-stage retainer plus a 6sense license at Vendr’s median, about $5,185 a month, comes to about $15,000 a month before any media. On our side, outbound plus the Paid ads process costs $3,998 a month after the first month, with ad spend paid at cost.

A list band is an estimate, and it does not always say which package it prices. MarketerHire’s guide puts Kalungi at $10,000 to $20,000 a month in one table and in its $5,000 to $15,000 boutique band a few paragraphs later. Kalungi sells three engagement models, and its own page prices the largest, Full Service, at “$50,000+/month” (read 4 November 2026). Refine Labs, also on MarketerHire’s list, starts paid media at $14,000 a month and full service at $26,000 a month, each with a 6-month minimum. Ask for a written quote that separates the retainer, the licenses and the media.

What does an ABM agency do?

It chooses target accounts with your sales team, finds the people in each buying group and runs campaigns written for them. On the pages that rank for this search, the work covers:

  • Account selection, with your sales team
  • Campaigns across email, LinkedIn and ads
  • Content written for one account or one vertical
  • ABM platform management
  • Reporting and sales enablement

The ABM Agency adds direct mail, gifting and events, and says that in most situations it can launch a pilot within 21 days.

An ABM campaign comes in three sizes, set by how many accounts share one message:

TierAccounts in a campaignWhat gets writtenHow Growigami writes it
1:1One accountEvery touch, for that account’s peopleEvery touch for one account, when you have under 50
1:fewA small cluster that shares a problemMessages for the cluster, named per contactSmall clusters, from 50 to 200 accounts
1:manyA segment of hundredsMessages for the segment and the rolePer segment, above 200 accounts

Our ABM tiers glossary entry defines each tier, and the ABM tools comparison covers the software side.

Why does ABM have to reach the whole buying group?

Because a single contact rarely decides. Forrester’s State of Business Buying 2026, released on 21 January 2026, counts 13 internal stakeholders and nine external influencers in a typical buying decision, with more for complex or strategic purchases. Procurement is a decision-maker in 53% of buying cycles and is involved from the start.

So the research has to go past the person who replied to the last campaign. For each target account we find the people who sign, use and approve, and each one gets an email and a LinkedIn message written for their role. A head of finance and a head of operations in the same account read different openings, each built on what we found about that company this week.

What Growigami runs for account based marketing teams

Each week, AI agents score new accounts against your best customers and research the people in each target account. They draft an email and a LinkedIn message for each contact, and our team checks each draft. Your CRO, who builds the process, runs it by hand first, and your sellers answer the interested replies, which reach them in Slack the same day.

We build the tiered list from your closed deals and from fit and buying signals, so you can start without one. Sequences go out from your own domains through tools you already pay for. The ABM and outbound service page shows the account scoring and the sequences step by step.

Add the Paid ads process when you want the same accounts to see you in their feed. It runs LinkedIn ads to your target accounts, each campaign with its own landing page, on up to $25,000 a month in ad spend paid at cost. The Paid ads service page covers the channels.

Growigami has worked with 40+ B2B companies. For Reworld, a $3 billion waste-to-energy operator, we built ideal-customer profiles for its four buyer segments and gave each segment its own campaigns. With outbound and a CRM cleanup, the work left Reworld’s sales team with $250M+ in pipeline to work.

How do you implement account based marketing?

Start with accounts your sellers already want to win. This is the order we work in:

  1. Pick the accounts from your wins. Score your closed deals for what the best customers share, then find more companies like them.
  2. Tier them. Decide which accounts get one-to-one work and which share a message with a cluster or a segment.
  3. Map the buying group. Name the roles that sign, use and approve in each account.
  4. Write by role and by account. Open each message with something true about that company this week.
  5. Agree the hand-off. Name the seller who owns each account and answers its replies the same day.
  6. Review it every week. Each Friday we check which accounts replied and tune the next week’s list.

The ABM outbound sequences guide shows the messages themselves.

How do you measure account based marketing?

By account. Count the target accounts where anyone replied, the accounts with a meeting, the pipeline those accounts created and the deals they closed, all in your CRM. Clicks and impressions describe the ads and say little about whether a target account is moving.

What to ask an ABM agency before you sign

  • What sits outside the retainer? Platform licenses, media and content production each add to the bill, and percentage-of-media fees grow with your spend.
  • Who picks the accounts? Ask how the list is built and how often it changes when a target account goes quiet.
  • Who writes to each role? A banner ad to the account is a different program from a message to each person in it.
  • How does sales take part? Ask who receives a reply from a target account, and how fast.
  • What do you keep if you leave? The account lists, the messages, the replies and the domains should stay with you.
  • How long is the term? MarketerHire says contracts typically start with a 3-month pilot and roll to 6 to 12 months, so read the renewal clause.

Account based marketing at Growigami: price and terms

Every price sits in the price builder, which totals any mix of processes before you speak to anyone.

  • Account based outreach to 500 target accounts a month costs $1,999 a month, and 1,000 accounts costs $1,499 more.
  • The Paid ads process, with LinkedIn ads to the same accounts, costs $1,999 a month on up to $25,000 of ad spend, paid at cost.
  • A process costs $500 more in its first month while we build it, and your first build is on us this month.
  • A CRO review is optional and extra: $1,499 a month for a monthly review, or $2,999 for a weekly one.
  • The minimum is three months. After that you can leave with 30 days' notice.

Three months of one process cost $5,997, because your first build is on us this month. Within a week of read access to your CRM, we show you the first process we would build and what it would produce. It is usually running in about three weeks.

When an ABM agency or an in-house team fits better

Hire an enterprise ABM firm if you run one-to-one programs for a few very large accounts. That work often needs custom microsites, direct mail or creative across several regions, and neither custom microsites nor direct mail is on our price list. MarketerHire’s guide names The Marketing Practice, Momentum and The ABM Agency for that work.

Three people working at desks in a bright office

Keep ABM in-house if you already license 6sense or Demandbase and have marketers who can run campaigns from it. Your gap is then capacity or a second channel, and one process of ours can fill it. If you want outbound to a fixed list without the ABM framing, see outbound lead generation services. For a plan across several channels, see demand generation services, and for the wider choice of firms, B2B lead generation services.

Talk to sales. Give us read access to your CRM, and within a week we show you the first process we would build and what it would produce.

Questions

Common questions about account based marketing agencies

What is account based marketing?

Account based marketing is B2B marketing aimed at a named list of companies, with each account treated as its own market. Marketing and sales choose the accounts together, research the people who buy in each one and write to them by role. Growigami runs it as one process from $1,999 a month, with replies going to the seller who owns the account.

What does ABM stand for?

ABM stands for account based marketing. In B2B it means choosing the companies you want as customers first and then reaching the people inside each one. Lead-based marketing starts with an audience and waits to see which companies respond; ABM starts with the companies.

How much does an ABM agency cost?

MarketerHire's July 2026 guide puts ABM retainers at $5,000 to $15,000 a month for boutique work and $25,000 to $75,000 for enterprise one-to-one programs, plus media. Directive's list of 20 ABM agencies marks every one as custom pricing, though one of the 20, strategicabm, posts a price from $20,000 a month on its own site. Growigami's account based outreach is $1,999 a month for 500 target accounts, with a minimum of three months.

What is the difference between an ABM agency and an ABM platform?

An agency is people: strategists, writers and media buyers paid by a monthly retainer. A platform is software such as 6sense or Demandbase for targeting, personalization and measurement, sold on annual contracts. Vendr's median buyer paid $62,220 a year for 6sense. Growigami runs the work in tools you already pay for, such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, Clay or Outreach.

Can we run ABM with only a few target accounts?

Yes. With under 50 accounts, every touch is written for one account. From 50 to 200 accounts we write for small clusters, and above 200 we write for each segment. A short list of strong accounts often beats a long list of weak ones.

Do you guarantee pipeline from ABM?

No. What a target account does depends on its timing, your offer and how fast your sellers answer. We commit to the work: each account researched every week and a message for each contact in it. Every reply lands in your CRM, and with the optional CRO review your CRO goes through the account-level results with you.

Who approves what goes out?

You do. Every message and every ad waits for your approval before it goes out under your name, and our team checks each draft before it reaches you. Nothing sends from your domains until you have approved it.

Start ABM with one outbound process.

Give us read access to your CRM. Within a week we show you the first process we would build and what it would produce.
