Research · Ostrom Cold Logistics
Hi Dale,
Congrats on opening the Joliet freezer last week. Eight receiving doors at minus 10°F is a lot of door time to log by hand.
In a new building, the first audit tends to turn on two records: how long each door stood open, and the corrective action after each excursion. Dockmere keeps both on the pallet record, so the auditor gets one report.
Worth 20 minutes before your first audit to see how a second building gets set up?

Side by side
Firm figures come from five construction marketing firms read on 5 November 2026. Design At Work, GrowME and Market Veep came up in a web search for construction marketing agency. Acumen Studio posts its prices on its commercial construction page, and Hook Agency posts its contractor prices on its pricing page. In-house pay is the US median for market research analysts and marketing specialists, May 2025 (BLS).

Construction marketing helps a construction company get prequalified, invited to bid and remembered by the owners, architects and general contractors who award projects. A construction marketing agency runs it. The Census Bureau put September 2026 construction spending at a $2,186.1 billion yearly rate. At Growigami your CRO builds each process and we run it weekly, each from $1,999 a month.
It depends on who signs the contract. A remodeler selling kitchens to homeowners lives on search, ads and fast replies. In LocaliQ’s 2025 benchmarks, a general contractor’s search ad lead cost a median $165.67, and only 2.61% of clicks became a lead.
A commercial builder or a specialty subcontractor sells to a shorter list of owners, developers, architects and general contractors. Owners and general contractors often check a firm before inviting it to bid.
AIA’s summary of its A305 Contractor’s Qualification Statement explains why. An owner preparing to request bids often needs a way to verify each contractor’s background, references and financial stability. Two of the five exhibits on that form are for past project experience. Marketing for this buyer supplies the proof and keeps your name in front of the people who build the bid list.
| Census, Sept 2026, yearly rate | Spending | Change from August |
|---|---|---|
| All construction | $2,186.1 billion | down 1.9% |
| Private residential | $848.8 billion | down 5.5% |
| Private nonresidential | $790.6 billion | up 1.1% |
| Public | $546.8 billion | down 0.1% |
Private nonresidential was the only one of these segments that grew from August. The public change is within the Census margin of error. Total spending in the first nine months of 2026 was 2.9% below the same months of 2025.
The five construction marketing firms we read all sell some mix of websites, SEO and paid search. Design At Work and Acumen Studio add social posts and email, and Design At Work adds trade show material. Design At Work pitches “Marketing for long sales cycles, competitive bids and relationship-driven growth” and designs capability statements, project profiles and qualification packages. Acumen Studio titles a case study “Getting Onto the Bid List Before the RFP Goes Out,” built on LinkedIn content and visitor identification aimed at developers.
Two of the five post a price: Acumen Studio and Hook Agency. None of the five states a contract term on its page. WebFX’s guide to choosing one lists the red flags, including promises such as ranking first on Google in a week.
Each week, AI agents research the owners, developers, architects and general contractors on your list and write a message for each contact. They draft the brief before each bid meeting and the recap after it. Your CRO, a senior lead who has run marketing and sales teams, builds each process with you and your business development lead first. Your estimators still price the work, and your team sends every message.
Each process is priced on its own, and you can start with any one:
Start with the list of people who choose who bids, then give each of them a reason to add you.
ConstructConnect’s guide lists what general contractors check before adding a sub to a bid list. It starts with an active license, insurance and bonding capacity. Then come your safety record including your EMR, past project references and financial stability.
An owner can ask for much the same on AIA’s A305, whose exhibits cover finances, insurance and bonds, safety records and past projects. Keep current project profiles and references ready, because a qualification package is due on the owner’s schedule. Our Sales assets process writes and designs the project profiles.
ConstructConnect, a bid platform itself, names where GCs post work: ConstructConnect, BuildingConnected, PlanHub, The Blue Book Network and their own company portals. It also says a direct email or call to a GC’s estimating team still works. Our Outbound process researches the GCs and owners on your list each week and writes each message for your business development lead to send.
Design At Work’s page says your company should stay visible before, during and after the bid process. ConstructConnect notes that GCs call first the subs who communicate well and hit their deadlines. Our Nurture process sends past clients and architects a monthly newsletter, and our LinkedIn process keeps your finished projects in their feed.
Before each bid meeting, our Deal follow-up process sends a one-page brief on the owner and the people in the room. After it, the recap is drafted for your team to send. Lost or quiet pursuits get a new reason to talk, such as a similar project you just finished.
The firms below post their prices on their own pages, read on 5 November 2026:
| Firm | What it sells | Posted price | Term on the page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Acumen Studio | Content, social, email, SEO and ads for commercial GCs | $1,798 a month core, $2,798 premium, $698 audit | None stated |
| Hook Agency | Local SEO, Google Ads and Meta ads for contractors | $3,750 a month SEO, Google Ads from $2,000 | None stated |
| Growigami | One process, such as Outbound or Deal follow-up | $1,999 a month per process | three months, then 30 days' notice |
Acumen recommends $690 to $1,890 a month in ad spend, paid to the platforms. Hook says most of its clients invest $5,000 to $8,000 a month, and its commercial page says it is usually the best fit for contractors over $2M. Market Veep writes that construction marketing firms typically charge $500 to $10,000 a month.
At Growigami each process starts at $1,999 a month and costs $500 more in its first month while we build it, and your first build is on us this month. Outbound plus Deal follow-up comes to $3,998 a month after the first. Every price is on our price list.
CapOut is a software company. Its product turns insurance estimate PDFs into Xactimate files for roofing and restoration contractors, and its outbound went to roofers, public adjusters and supplement firms. Claims firms sent most of the replies, while most of its paying customers were contractors. After its new search pages went live, its estimated search traffic grew 10x, and its CEO reports revenue up nearly 5x (CapOut story).
Another firm or tool is the better buy in these cases:
Growigami fits when you want the owners, architects and GCs on your list researched and written to each week, with every bid meeting briefed. The price is posted, and after three months you can leave with 30 days' notice.

Questions
Acumen Studio posts $1,798 a month for its core plan and $2,798 for premium, with a $698 audit. Hook Agency charges $3,750 a month for local SEO and from $2,000 for Google Ads. Market Veep writes that such firms typically charge $500 to $10,000 a month. At Growigami each process starts at $1,999 a month and costs $500 more in its first month while we build it, and your first build is on us this month.
ConstructConnect's guide lists five steps: a complete profile on the bid platforms GCs use, prequalifying on GCs' own portals, pre-bid meetings, outreach to GC estimating departments and referrals from GC partners. It says a direct email or call to an estimating team still works, and advises keeping it brief and leading with your niche. Our Outbound process researches the GCs on your list and writes each message for you to send.
We write and design the parts of a package or proposal that show your work: project profiles, case studies and capability one-pagers, two sales assets a month at the base size. A case study counts as one, and two one-pagers count as one. Your insurance, bonding, safety and financial records come from your office, and AIA's A305 has exhibits for them.
Yes. Our Search, Paid ads and Inbound lead follow-up processes are built for homeowner leads. Google lists general contractors as a Local Services Ads category, and our Paid process runs those ads. If homeowners are most of your work, our general contractor marketing page covers that buyer in detail.
Growigami does not promise invitations, awards or revenue. Each process has a scope you can check, such as accounts researched, messages written and bid meetings briefed. You read what it produced in your CRM. If the numbers do not justify the price, you can leave with 30 days' notice after three months.
Most of it goes into the setup, when you and your business development lead name the accounts and the projects worth showing. After that, the research, messages, briefs and recaps arrive drafted. Your team reads each message before sending it, and you read what each process produced in your CRM.
The minimum is three months, and after that you can leave with 30 days' notice. None of the five construction marketing firms we read states a contract term on its page. Ask any firm for its term and its exit in writing before you sign.
Design At Work's FAQ says paid campaigns can build visibility faster, while SEO and content often take several months. Outreach depends on the bid calendar, because an invitation comes when an owner or GC next puts a project out. At Growigami the first process is usually running about three weeks after you share CRM access.
