Joliet freezer, first audit

Hi Dale,

Congrats on opening the Joliet freezer last week. Eight receiving doors at minus 10°F is a lot of door time to log by hand.

In a new building, the first audit tends to turn on two records: how long each door stood open, and the corrective action after each excursion. Dockmere keeps both on the pallet record, so the auditor gets one report.

Worth 20 minutes before your first audit to see how a second building gets set up?

Marcus

A logistics marketing agency gets a freight broker, 3PL or carrier talking to shippers in the lanes and modes it wants to grow. The work runs through search pages, ads, outbound and quote follow-up. FMCSA lists 25,074 brokers with operating authority as of May 2026. Growigami runs each of those channels as a process from $1,999 a month.

What does a logistics marketing agency do?

It finds the shippers worth moving freight for and gets a rep in front of them. Between them, the seven logistics marketing pages we read for this search describe these channels:

  • Search: pages for services, modes and lanes, built to rank on Google.
  • Paid ads: Google search ads, and on some pages Meta and LinkedIn ads.
  • Outbound: email and LinkedIn messages to shippers who are not searching yet.
  • Content: blog posts and guides for logistics managers.
  • Positioning: the verticals and lanes the company wants to be known for.

Spiral’s FAQ explains why logistics differs from other B2B marketing: cycles run longer and several people weigh in. A shipper moving volume is also leaving an incumbent. None of the seven pages mentions an FMCSA rule, and only Upgrow posts a price list.

How do freight brokers get shippers?

By reaching them before the next bid and answering fast when they ask. As logisticsmarketing.agency puts it, logistics buyers “research silently for months, then surface during RFP cycles or operational triggers” before they reach out. A trigger is something you can find, such as a new distribution center, a new logistics hire or a move into a new region.

Our Outbound process researches 500 shipper accounts a month in the lanes and verticals you pick and finds a reason each would talk now. Each contact gets their own message by email and LinkedIn, and every follow-up adds something new. Interested replies reach your rep the same day, with the research attached.

Which channels work best for logistics companies?

Search and outbound, run together. Spiral’s FAQ says search “captures the highest-intent demand,” while outbound reaches accounts that are not searching yet, and that most companies need both. A shipper who gets a message about a lane and then searches for it should find your page for that lane.

Do lane pages work for SEO?

They can, when each page answers a search a shipper types, such as a mode between two cities or a service at one port. Google’s spam policies (updated 28 August 2026) list pages “targeted at specific regions or cities that funnel users to one page” as doorway abuse, so each lane page needs facts about that lane, which come from your team on short calls. Our Search process publishes a page for each lane, mode and city you serve, with links between them. The base size is 200 pages a month and the larger size 500, which suits a network with many lanes. Each month we ask ChatGPT and Perplexity the questions shippers ask and show you which answers name your company.

What does a logistics marketing agency cost in 2026?

On 5 November 2026 we read seven logistics marketing pages for this search and their pricing sections. Only Upgrow posts a price list. The ROI calculator on logisticsmarketing.agency shows $48K for a year of its own service, as an estimate. VisualFizz says its pricing is customized to scope, and the other four publish no figures.

What FMCSA rules touch freight broker marketing?

FMCSA requires operating authority for brokers and freight forwarders, as well as for for-hire carriers. Its rules for brokers of property sit in 49 CFR Part 371, and three provisions there touch how a freight broker markets itself. Your counsel decides how they apply to you, and none of this is legal advice:

  • Name. 49 CFR 371.7(a) bars a broker from performing or offering any brokerage service, including advertising, in any name other than the one its registration is issued in.
  • Broker status. 371.7(b) bars a broker from representing its operations as a carrier’s, directly or indirectly. Its advertising has to show the broker status of the operation.
  • Gifts. 371.9(b) bars a broker from giving or offering anything of value to a shipper, consignor or consignee, or their officers or employees, except inexpensive advertising items given for promotional purposes.

A household goods broker has more to show. 371.107 requires its advertisements and homepage to display, among other items, the address where it does business, its USDOT and MC numbers and its status as a household goods broker.

Our drafts use your company name as registered and say plainly that a broker is a broker. A carrier with its own trucks writes differently, and the drafts follow what your authority covers.

What Growigami runs for a broker, 3PL or carrier

Each week, AI agents research shipper accounts and draft outreach, lane pages and replies to new quote requests. Our team checks each draft for facts. Your CRO, a growth lead who has run sales and marketing teams, builds each process with your sales lead and proves it works before the agents run it. Your reps take the replies and quote the freight.

You start with one process:

  • Outbound to shippers (Pipeline): 500 shipper accounts researched a month, or 1,000 at the larger size for $1,499 more. Each contact gets a message by email and LinkedIn, and replies reach your reps the same day.
  • Lane and mode pages (Search): 200 pages a month at the base size, or 500 at the larger size, published on your site each week.
  • Quote follow-up: each inbound quote request is researched and scored, for up to 300 requests a month. The right rep gets it with a reply drafted at any hour. A request that sits untouched goes back to your team before it goes cold.
  • Paid search (Paid and creative): Google and LinkedIn campaigns on up to $25,000 a month in ad spend, with up to two new landing pages a month. Spend moves each week to the campaigns that book calls.
  • LinkedIn (Social): the company page and two of your sales leaders, three posts a week each, written from short calls and voice notes.

A review with your CRO is optional and costs extra, at $1,499 a month for monthly sessions or $2,999 a month for weekly ones.

When a logistics specialist or an in-house hire fits better

  • You want Google ads and SEO from a logistics-only shop. Spiral says it serves one industry only and specializes in Google Ads and SEO for logistics and transportation. Upgrow’s logistics page posts its paid media and SEO prices.
  • You sell freight software. Walker Sands works with enterprise supply chain brands, and our tech marketing page covers software companies.
  • You need trade press coverage. Walker Sands runs media relations from tier-one business press to vertical trade outlets.
  • Your reps want a marketer down the hall. An in-house hire learns your lanes and your shippers by name. The BLS puts median pay for market research analysts and marketing specialists at $78,760 a year (May 2025).

Manufacturers marketing their own products to engineers and plant buyers fit our manufacturing marketing page, and device makers selling to hospitals fit medical device marketing.

CabFare: two audiences, two campaigns

CabFare turns a driver’s phone into a card terminal for taxis and limousines. It had a finished product and no users. Drivers and fleet owners each got their own outbound campaign. Video ads beat static ads by 3.2x on cost per install, and the first-run flow was simplified so a driver could take a first payment in under two minutes. It went from $0 to $20K in monthly recurring revenue in four months (CabFare story).

A broker has two audiences too: shippers who tender freight and carriers who haul it. CabFare sells payment software, and its result says nothing about freight for your company.

Talk to sales. Give us read access to your CRM, and within a week we show you the first process we would build and what it would produce.

Questions

Common questions about a logistics marketing agency

What does a logistics marketing agency do?

It brings a broker, 3PL or carrier conversations with shippers who move freight in the lanes and modes it wants. The work covers the website, lane and mode pages for search, paid search, outbound to shippers by email and LinkedIn, and follow-up on quote requests. At Growigami your CRO builds the search, paid, outbound and quote follow-up work as processes, and AI agents do the weekly research and drafting.

How much does a logistics marketing agency cost?

Upgrow is the only one of seven logistics pages we read on 5 November 2026 to post a price list. It starts paid media at $3,000 a month plus $2,500 setup, and SEO at $6,000 a month plus $3,000 setup. A Growigami process starts at $1,999 a month and costs $500 more in its first month while we build it, and your first build is on us this month. In our Paid process, ad spend is paid at cost.

How long does logistics marketing take to work?

Spiral's FAQ says paid and outbound can start first conversations within weeks while search builds over several months, and it expects early lead flow in 60 to 90 days. We make no lead promise. Within a week of read access we show you the first process we would build, and it usually runs within about three weeks.

How do I choose a logistics marketing agency?

Ask four things in writing: the monthly price, any setup fee, the minimum term and how ad spend is billed. Then ask to see freight campaigns they have run, as Spiral's FAQ suggests, and who owns the ad accounts and pages if you leave. Our price, terms and ad billing are on our price list.

What can a freight broker say in its ads?

FMCSA's rule for brokers, 49 CFR 371.7, requires a broker to perform or offer its services, including advertising, only in the name its registration is issued in. It bars a broker from representing its operations as a carrier's, and its advertising has to show its broker status. Your counsel decides how the rule applies to your ads. Our drafts name your company as registered and say it is a broker.

Do we see messages before they go out?

Yes. Each outreach message, page and ad waits for the person you name, usually your sales or marketing lead, before it goes out. Quote replies go to your rep, who checks each one and sends it. Your reps keep the shipper relationship and take every reply.

Start with one logistics process.

Give us read access to your CRM. Within a week we show you the first process we would build and what it would produce.
