Joliet freezer, first audit

Hi Dale,

Congrats on opening the Joliet freezer last week. Eight receiving doors at minus 10°F is a lot of door time to log by hand.

In a new building, the first audit tends to turn on two records: how long each door stood open, and the corrective action after each excursion. Dockmere keeps both on the pallet record, so the auditor gets one report.

Worth 20 minutes before your first audit to see how a second building gets set up?

Marcus

64%

of manufacturing marketers struggle to attribute ROI to content (CMI, November 2024)

Why it matters

64% struggle to tie content to ROI

In the Content Marketing Institute's manufacturing survey, 64% of manufacturing marketers said they struggle to attribute ROI to content and to track the customer journey. Deals take months, and many close through distributors. When outbound, event and partner leads land in your CRM tied to their source, you can see which work turned into pipeline.

What you get

What our manufacturing marketing services include

Pages engineers search

Technical pages built from your engineers' answers, written to rank on Google and get cited by AI assistants.

Trade shows, followed up

Invites to target accounts before the show, booth materials and a written follow-up to every badge scan.

Outbound to target accounts

Each week we research the accounts on your list and write to each contact. Your seller reviews, then sends.

Distributors and reps recruited

We find the distributors and reps that already sell to your buyers and pitch each one. Interested ones book a call.

Engineers sign off claims

Specs, tolerances, certifications and test results stay as your engineers state them. Someone you name signs off each page first.

A posted price

Each process starts at $1,999 a month. After three months, you can leave with 30 days' notice.

How it starts

How does manufacturing marketing start?

  1. Give us CRM read access

We read your closed deals to see which accounts and products buy, and through which channel.

  2. See the first process

Within a week we show you the first process we would build and what it would produce.

  3. Your CRO builds it

Your CRO builds it with your sales and engineering leads. It is usually running in about three weeks.

  4. Engineers check the specs

Each page publishes after someone you name signs off its specs. Add the next process when the first shows results.

A manufacturing marketing agency markets industrial products to the engineers, buyers and plant managers who specify and order them. The work runs through technical content, search, trade shows, distributors and outbound. Grey Matter, an agency, puts mid-market programs at about $4,000 to $20,000 a month before ad spend in its November 2026 guide. Growigami runs each channel as a process, from $1,999 a month.

What makes manufacturing marketing different?

The buyer does most of the work before a seller hears about it. TREW Marketing and GlobalSpec surveyed more than 1,000 engineers and technical professionals in 2026. On average, 62% of their buying process happens online before they engage with sales. To research a purchase, 76% routinely turn to online technical publications and 74% to vendor websites.

A few things set manufacturing apart from other B2B marketing:

  • Several people sign off. An engineer specifies the part, and procurement, operations and an executive each weigh in before the order. Each reads different material. See buying committee.
  • The order often goes through a channel. Distributors and reps sell your line next to others, so you market to the end buyer and to the people who carry your products.
  • In-person events rate highest with marketers. In the Content Marketing Institute’s 2024 manufacturing survey, 71% of manufacturing marketers used in-person events. They rated events their most effective channel at 51%, ahead of blogs and webinars at 49%. TREW’s 2026 research describes trade shows as where engineers confirm what they found online.
  • Every claim gets checked. Engineers read the spec, the tolerance and the test data. A page with a wrong number costs more than a page that was never written.

AI is a small but growing research channel with engineers: in TREW’s 2026 survey, 21% of technical buyers routinely used it to research a purchase. The share who never use it to evaluate vendors fell from 42% to 31% in a year. They rate their trust in AI answers 4.7 out of 10. Your own site carries more of the research, and we build those pages to get cited when an engineer does ask.

What do manufacturing marketing agencies cost?

On 4 November 2026 we read six pages on Google’s first page for this search, then checked each price on the agency’s own site where we could. Marketing Essentials, Windmill Strategy, TREW Marketing, Gorilla 76 and weCreate publish their own prices. Grey Matter, an agency that ranks itself first in its own guide, reports a minimum for Kula Partners that we could not find on Kula’s site. Market Veep and Furiosity publish no price.

How much do manufacturers spend on marketing?

Gartner’s 2026 CMO Spend Survey of 401 marketing leaders put marketing budgets at 7.8% of company revenue, up from 7.7% in 2025. The latest industry split we found is in the 2025 survey, as AdExchanger reported in May 2025. Respondents in consumer packaged goods, manufacturing and pharma averaged 9.7% of revenue, up from 6.7% in 2024. That figure groups three industries at companies with a median revenue near $6 billion, so use it only as a rough check.

How do you track manufacturing marketing ROI?

Tie every lead to an account and every account to an opportunity in your CRM, then read pipeline by source each month. An order that closes through a distributor needs the distributor’s sales report matched to the end account, or the channel hides where the deal started. Growigami logs outbound, event and partner leads in your CRM tied to their source, and the optional CRO review reads the results with you.

How do you build a manufacturing marketing strategy?

Start from your closed deals: which accounts bought, which products and through which channel. Pick the buyer and the one channel that already works, then build one process around it. If the positioning or the target list is missing, we build it once. Positioning and messaging is $4,999, and the ICP and go-to-market plan is $4,999.

What Growigami runs for a manufacturer

Your CRO builds each process with your team and proves it works. From then on, AI agents run it every week. Someone you name approves each piece before it goes out, and you start with one process:

  • Search (Search): pages built on the questions engineers and buyers ask about your products and applications. 200 pages a month, or 500 on the larger size, published on a schedule as your team approves them. Each month we ask ChatGPT and Perplexity the questions your buyers ask and show you which answers name you.
  • Events (Events): booth materials and invites for up to three events a month. We invite the accounts you want to meet and book times at your booth, and every badge scan gets a follow-up written for that conversation, logged in your CRM.
  • Outbound (Pipeline): 500 target accounts researched each month, with a message written for each contact. Your seller reviews, then sends. Replies reach your team the same day.
  • Partnerships (Partnerships): up to 40 distributors, reps or other companies that sell to your buyers, researched and pitched each month.
  • Nurture: up to five email journeys and a monthly newsletter, for the buyer who is twelve months from an order.

Events can add coordination at $1,499 a month, where we book the vendors and run the schedule, and on-site support at $2,499 per event, with a marketer at your booth for up to three show days and travel paid at cost. Both are on our price list. The website is a one-time build from $7,499.

Does marketing automation work for manufacturing?

It works for the steps that repeat across a long cycle. Examples include a reply to every inbound request for a quote, a follow-up to every badge scan and email by role while a project waits for budget. It works badly when it sends the same sequence to an engineer and a buyer, or when nobody checks the technical claims in it.

Most manufacturing marketers have started. CMI found 76% of manufacturing marketers use generative AI tools, but only 7% have AI built into their daily workflows. At Growigami, AI agents do the repeat work: research each account, draft each email and page, flag the lead nobody answered. Your team approves each piece.

Inbound lead follow-up covers up to 300 leads a month. Each lead arrives researched and scored, with a first reply drafted for the right seller.

Who checks the specs and technical claims?

Your engineers do. AI agents draft each page from your engineers’ answers on short calls. Our team checks each draft for facts, and someone you name approves it before it publishes. Specs, tolerances, certifications and test results stay as your team states them.

Emails, booth pieces and outreach messages go through the same check before they go out. With the optional review, your CRO goes through the whole system with you and tunes it on the numbers. It costs $1,499 a month for monthly sessions or $2,999 for weekly ones.

When another option fits better

  • Your website has to be rebuilt first. Our one-time build is $7,499. A complex catalog or configurator site needs a web-first firm, and Windmill Strategy’s own pricing page starts its websites around $40,000.
  • You want the fee tied to a pipeline target. Grey Matter says it stops billing its fee and keeps working, for up to three months, if it misses its target.
  • Most of your inquiries already come from Thomasnet. Grey Matter’s guide describes Thomas Marketing, the agency inside Thomasnet, as tying its work to that platform’s buyer traffic.
  • Your team already produces strong content. A strategist for a few hours a month covers it, and AI agents would repeat work you already do.

The longer guide to industrial B2B marketing covers channel strategy and trade shows against digital in more depth.

Reworld and Matterway: $250M+ in pipeline, 80% of a summit met

Both cases come from outside manufacturing: an energy operator with segmented buyers, and a software company that built its marketing around one trade show.

Reworld is a $3 billion waste-to-energy operator with four distinct buyer segments. Its CRM was messy, lead scoring did not exist and its sales team spent most of its time on unqualified leads. We built an ideal-customer profile for each segment, cleaned the CRM so marketing and sales saw one pipeline and ran campaigns per segment. The result was $250M+ in pipeline, plus 600+ MQLs in four months against about 150 a quarter before (Reworld story).

“Our data has never looked cleaner! It’s so easy now, I wish we had done this a long time ago.” Mike Williams, VP Commercial Operations, Reworld

Matterway, a software company that sells to BPO executives, took a booth at the 13th BPO Innovation Summit in Mumbai. Past events had produced a handful of business cards. For three weeks before the show, LinkedIn and Meta ads reached BPO leaders in Mumbai and Bangalore. For €1,600 in ads, its team met 80% of attendees (Matterway story).

Our pages on real estate marketing and fintech SEO show the same processes in those industries.

Talk to sales. Give us read access to your CRM, and within a week we show you the first process we would build and what it would produce.

Questions

Common questions about manufacturing marketing

What does a manufacturing marketing agency do?

It markets industrial products to the engineers, buyers and plant managers who specify and order them. The work covers technical content, search, trade shows, distributor programs, email and outbound. Growigami runs each channel as a process: your CRO builds it, AI agents run it every week and someone you name approves every piece before it goes out.

How much does a manufacturing marketing agency cost?

Published prices run from $759 a month for weCreate's small machine-shop program, on a 12-month commitment, to $25,000 a month for TREW Marketing as agency of record. Grey Matter's November 2026 guide puts mid-market programs at about $4,000 to $20,000 a month before ad spend. A Growigami process starts at $1,999 a month, with a minimum of three months. A review with your CRO adds $1,499 monthly or $2,999 weekly.

How do I choose a manufacturing marketing agency?

Ask each firm four things: who does the weekly work, what it costs each month, who approves what goes out and how long you are committed. Then ask how it turns your engineers' knowledge into pages and how it handles your distributors. TREW Marketing budgets two to three hours of review by your subject experts. The three agency service pages ranking for this search say nothing about approval, so ask for it in writing.

Who are the top manufacturing marketing agencies?

We read three of the lists that rank for this search: Grey Matter, The Agency Arsenal and Digital Elevator. Grey Matter and Digital Elevator wrote two of them and rank themselves first. Gorilla 76, Kula Partners and INDUSTRIAL, also called Industrial Strength Marketing, appear on all three. Grey Matter also ranks TREW Marketing, Weidert Group and Windmill Strategy.

How long does manufacturing marketing take to show results?

Within a week of CRM access we show you the first process we would build, and it is usually running in about three weeks. Pipeline takes as long as your sales cycle. Grey Matter's guide expects leading indicators within 90 days, with sales cycles that run six to eighteen months for many manufacturers.

Do engineers use AI to find suppliers?

More each year, though few rely on it. In TREW Marketing and GlobalSpec's 2026 survey, 21% of technical buyers routinely use generative AI to research a purchase, against 74% for vendor websites. The share who never use it to evaluate vendors fell from 42% to 31% in a year. Pages on your own site come first, and we build the same pages to get cited when an engineer asks ChatGPT or Perplexity.

Do you guarantee leads or pipeline?

No. Pipeline depends on your market, your products and how fast your sellers and distributors follow up. We commit to the work: the pages, the outreach and the trade show follow-up, each approved by your team. If a fee linked to pipeline matters to you, Grey Matter says it stops billing its fee for up to three months when it misses its target.

Can you market through our distributors?

Yes. The Partnerships process researches and pitches up to 40 distributors, reps or other companies that already sell to your buyers each month. Interested ones book a call with your team. The Sales assets process writes one-pagers, case studies and battlecards your distributor reps can use, two assets a month at the first size.

Start with one manufacturing process.
