The line: one record per pallet, from the receiving dock to the outbound trailer.

Dockmere is cold chain compliance software for food warehouses. It reads the sensors a warehouse already has and keeps each corrective action on the same record as the reading, so an audit pulls one report.

  • Who it is for: directors of operations and QA leads at cold storage warehouses and food distributors with 2 to 20 buildings. ICP: 31 deals
  • What it is: software that logs every reading from the dock and the rooms, with each excursion and its fix on the pallet’s record. 14 of 22 calls
  • What it replaces: the clipboard by the dock door and the binder a QA lead builds the week before an audit. 11 calls
  • Why we win: setup is seamless because Dockmere reads the probes already installed. Why we win: setup takes a day per building because Dockmere reads the probes already installed, where sensor vendors start with new hardware. 9 calls, 3 sites

For a Pittsburgh owner, a digital marketing agency is the outside team that runs ads, search, social and the website. Google’s first page for “digital marketing agency pittsburgh” puts a Reddit thread second and shows no agency price (read 5 November 2026). Growigami is a third option you work with remotely, at $1,999 a month per process.

Nobody from Growigami works in western Pennsylvania, and we list no Pittsburgh clients. Your CRO meets your team by video, and the work shows up in your CRM.

What Pittsburgh’s first results page shows

The searcher gets a thin page. The Reddit thread asks for firm names on behalf of a laid-off relative. One reply describes a long job search in the field. Then come:

  • Hibu (3): a national firm’s Pittsburgh page. It says its reps work with businesses in Youngstown, Dubois, Cleveland and Mount Vernon.
  • Nartak Media Group (4): a Pittsburgh agency listing SEO, paid ads, social media, email and geofencing.
  • Clutch (5): a small-business list we could not read past its bot check.
  • Built In (6): “Top Agencies in Pittsburgh, PA (41)”, which opens with engineering and architecture firms such as Michael Baker International and CannonDesign.
  • Brunner (7) and GH Advertising (9): larger creative agencies with Pittsburgh addresses. Brunner also lists an Atlanta office.

None of the four agency pages posts a price or a term. The only figures we found are the project budgets on Semrush’s four Pittsburgh profiles.

Do Pittsburgh firms need a local agency?

They need one for work done in person. Think of a video shoot on a roof, a booth at a home show or a monthly meeting at the office. Brunner’s Isabella Street office or GH’s Pittsburgh suite is the better buy there.

Ads, inquiry follow-up, search pages and outbound happen on screens and in your CRM. A roofer in Butler County or a dealer in Westmoreland County starts the same way with Growigami as a firm downtown. Locations with 10 to 99 employees make up more than a quarter of the metro’s employer establishments. Growigami is built for that size of firm when it wants ads or follow-up handled weekly.

What Census data shows for the Pittsburgh metro

County Business Patterns uses the federal metro delineation: whole counties grouped around a core urban area of at least 50,000 people. The Pittsburgh metro is eight Pennsylvania counties: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland. In 2023 it had 61,628 employer establishments and 1,122,366 employees in the week of March 12.

The metro holds 20.1 percent of Pennsylvania’s establishments and 19.6 percent of the state’s employees. It paid an average of $63,799, about the state’s $63,690 and 93 percent of the US average of $68,342. Establishments average 18.2 employees, against 18.6 statewide and 16.7 nationally.

Rows one to seven carry the highest concentration among the sectors we track. Manufacturing is in for its 85,875 employees, and electrical contractors because they pay above the US average. The bottom two rows count the local marketing firms.

Roofers, dealers and chiropractors

Roofing is the standout. The metro has 16.6 percent of Pennsylvania’s roofing contractors but 46.7 percent of the state’s roofing employees, about 31 people per establishment, and they pay $85,560 on average against $70,552 nationally (roofing marketing). The 447 chiropractic offices are more than a quarter of the state’s 1,680 (chiropractor marketing).

New car dealers number 211, rank 17th of 386 metros and employ 10,272 people, about 49 per dealer (auto dealer marketing). The 542 electrical contractors pay $84,670 on average, above the US figure of $76,545 (electrician marketing).

Plants, banks and the rivers

The metro’s 2,371 manufacturing establishments rank 19th among metros and employ 85,875 people (manufacturing marketing). SEC filings give Pittsburgh business addresses for PNC Financial Services, at The Tower at PNC Plaza, and PPG Industries, at One PPG Place. The metro exported $10.5 billion of goods in 2024, according to USTR.

The Port of Pittsburgh Commission says all 200 miles of commercially navigable river in southwestern Pennsylvania sit in its district, on a system of 16 locks and dams. In 2023 the port handled 18.7 million tons, by the Army Corps’ count for Pennsylvania. Our Pennsylvania page compares the metro with Philadelphia and the state’s smaller metros.

A small local marketing base

The metro has 111 advertising agency establishments with 976 employees and 206 marketing consulting establishments with 1,015. Marketing consulting holds 0.40 times its US share of jobs, the lowest in the table. Advertising agencies hold 0.61 times. Agencies here pay $79,464 on average (US: $106,841); marketing consulting pays $77,238 (US: $83,009).

What Growigami runs for Pittsburgh trades and B2B firms

Each week, AI agents draft the ads, the replies to new inquiries, the search pages and the outreach for whichever processes you run. Your CRO, a marketer with sales and marketing leadership behind them, builds each one with your staff first and checks it against your CRM. Your team runs the estimates, the appointments and the jobs.

  • Paid ads and Local Services (Paid and creative): campaigns on two of Google, Meta, LinkedIn and YouTube, with a monthly spend ceiling of $25,000 paid at cost. For roofers, remodelers and other trades it runs Google Local Services Ads and Business Profile work, with up to two new landing pages a month.
  • Inquiry follow-up: every inquiry, up to 300 a month at the base size, is researched and passed to the right person with a reply drafted, at night and on weekends too. If nobody picks one up, it is flagged back to your team.
  • Search pages (Search): 200 pages a month at the first size, built from what your staff already tell customers and aimed at Google and AI answers. That also covers what an SEO company in Pittsburgh would be hired for.
  • Outbound (Pipeline): for firms selling to plants, banks or hospitals, 500 target accounts researched a month with a message drafted for each contact and sent by your seller.

Prices start at $1,999 a month per process, and a process costs $500 more in its first month while we build it, and your first build is on us this month. A CRO review is extra and optional, at $1,499 a month (monthly) or $2,999 (weekly). Skip it and your team sets priorities while the work continues.

  • You want someone at the job site. Brunner and GH Advertising have Pittsburgh offices. A local crew can film your roofs, your showroom or your plant floor.
  • Your budget is below one process. c3digitus and Pittsburgh SEO Magician list Semrush budgets that start at $1,000 or less.
  • You want one marketer on payroll. At a metro median of $63,190, a Pittsburgh specialist costs less than in Pennsylvania or the US as a whole, and can cover events and the website as well.

Questions

Questions on Pittsburgh digital marketing agencies

How much does a digital marketing agency in Pittsburgh cost?

No agency page on Google's first page for this search posts a price. Semrush's four Pittsburgh profiles list project budgets instead: one from $1,000, one from $5,000, one at $2,500 to $5,000 and one at up to $2,500. Growigami charges $1,999 a month per process, plus ad spend at cost.

What does a digital marketing agency do?

It operates the channels customers use to find a firm, then reports what they produced. Nartak Media Group's Pittsburgh page lists SEO, paid advertising, social media and email campaigns, plus geofencing. Growigami prices those as separate processes, so an owner can start with the one that brings in work fastest and add the next later.

What does a marketing hire cost in Pittsburgh?

BLS put the metro's median at $63,190 for a marketing specialist and $127,590 for a marketing manager in May 2025, below both the Pennsylvania and US medians. Twelve months of one Growigami process at $1,999 a month cost under half that specialist median, before ad spend.

Do I need a Pittsburgh agency?

For shoots, events and face-to-face meetings, a local firm helps. Brunner gives an address on Isabella Street, and Built In lists GH Advertising as headquartered in Pittsburgh. Hibu, the third result, is a national firm working through regional reps. Ads, inquiry replies and search pages run the same from anywhere.

Does it work for roofers and contractors?

Yes. The Paid process runs Google Local Services Ads, Business Profile work and search campaigns aimed at the counties you cover, and inquiry follow-up is its own process. The metro's 145 roofing contractors employ 4,543 people, 2.63 times the US share of jobs, the highest concentration of any trade we track there.

Can someone on my team see ads before they run?

Yes. You approve each page and every ad before it goes out. Ad spend is paid at cost, inside a monthly budget you set.

Is there a Growigami office in Pittsburgh?

No. Nobody from Growigami works in western Pennsylvania; every process is run remotely. Your CRO and your team talk on video, and each week's results sit in your CRM to check. Brunner and GH Advertising give Pittsburgh addresses for anyone who wants an office to visit.

Run one Pittsburgh process first.
