The line: one record per pallet, from the receiving dock to the outbound trailer.

Dockmere is cold chain compliance software for food warehouses. It reads the sensors a warehouse already has and keeps each corrective action on the same record as the reading, so an audit pulls one report.

  • Who it is for: directors of operations and QA leads at cold storage warehouses and food distributors with 2 to 20 buildings. ICP: 31 deals
  • What it is: software that logs every reading from the dock and the rooms, with each excursion and its fix on the pallet’s record. 14 of 22 calls
  • What it replaces: the clipboard by the dock door and the binder a QA lead builds the week before an audit. 11 calls
  • Why we win: setup is seamless because Dockmere reads the probes already installed. Why we win: setup takes a day per building because Dockmere reads the probes already installed, where sensor vendors start with new hardware. 9 calls, 3 sites

The first results page for “marketing agency maryland” shows local agencies and three directories. Two of the five agency sites post a price: Dragonfly’s projects start at $1,000, and Maryland Local Marketing sells a website plan at $2,000 a year. Clutch’s Maryland pricing data puts SEO and content retainers at $3,000 to $10,000 a month. Growigami, a remote third option, has your CRO build each process and then runs it weekly from $1,999 a month.

Nobody from Growigami works out of Maryland, and we have no office or client there to point to. Your CRO meets your staff over video, and each week’s pages, ads and replies appear in your CRM. All five agency sites in the organic results give a Maryland address, from Fulton to Towson, for buyers who want one.

Does a Maryland firm need a marketing agency it can drive to?

Only for the work that happens in a room. Maryland Local Marketing heads one section “A team you can drive to”, and Plush says its crew comes to your location to shoot. Clutch’s Maryland FAQ makes the same case for strategy sessions and on-site video. If you want a photographer at your job site every month, a local agency earns its fee.

Search pages, ad campaigns, outreach and replies to new leads are screen work. Semrush’s own Maryland list shows the split. It names 6 agencies with an office in the state, then a block of firms that work and have clients there without one. Growigami belongs in that second group.

What Growigami runs for Maryland trades and B2B firms

Every week, AI agents draft the pages, ads, outreach and lead replies on the processes you picked. Your CRO, who has run marketing and sales teams, sets up each one with your staff in the first weeks and judges it by what your CRM records. Your people keep the parts that need them: sales calls, sending outreach from their own inboxes and taking the jobs that come in.

Each process has a posted starting price of $1,999 a month:

  • Search (Search): 200 pages a month at the first size and 500 at the larger one, each answering a question your buyers ask. They are written to rank on Google and to earn citations in ChatGPT and Perplexity answers, drawing on what your staff already explain to customers.
  • Outbound (Pipeline): 500 target accounts a month, each researched for a reason to talk now, with a message for every contact. A firm that sells to prime contractors or hospital systems works from that kind of named list. Your seller reviews each message, sends it and gets the replies the same day.
  • Paid ads (Paid and creative): two channels chosen from Google, LinkedIn, Meta and YouTube, with up to $25,000 a month of ad spend that you pay at cost. It includes as many as two new landing pages a month. For contractors it also runs your Google Business Profile and Local Services Ads, and AI agents draft the ads.
  • Lead follow-up: as many as 300 inbound leads a month. Each one is researched, routed to the right person and handed over with a first reply written, including the leads that arrive after hours.

The CRO review is an extra you can skip. It costs $1,499 a month for a monthly session or $2,999 for weekly ones. Either way, your CRO reviews all of your processes with you. Skip it, and your team sets direction while we keep the processes running.

Which Maryland sectors run above the US share of jobs?

Maryland had 142,967 employer establishments in 2023, counting only sites with at least one person on payroll. Per 100,000 residents that is 2,313, about 7 percent below the US figure of 2,497.

Maryland’s establishments run a little larger: 26.2 percent employ 10 to 99 people, where the US figure is 24.6 percent. The average one had 17.3 employees in the week of March 12. Average pay, $68,097, sits within $245 of the US average.

The first seven rows are the sectors in our data where Maryland’s share of jobs runs furthest above the US share. Manufacturing comes next because it runs furthest below. The last two rows count marketing firms. In the last column, 1.00x means the same share as the US.

Source: U.S. Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023 (employer establishments; employees are for the week of March 12; average pay is annual payroll divided by employees, computed by Growigami).

Computer systems design is the row that sets Maryland apart. Its 5,227 establishments employ 86,551 people, 2.39 times the US share of jobs, and the count ranks ninth of the 50 states plus DC.

Maryland Commerce tells tech companies that the military and federal government have a major presence in the state. The Maryland Manual names Fort George G. Meade as the state’s largest employer, and the garrison’s newcomers page, updated April 2026, counts more than 64,000 employees there. IT service firms selling into that market are who our MSP marketing page addresses.

The building trades come next. Maryland has 3,183 residential remodeler establishments at 1.46 times the US share (general contractor marketing). Its 1,444 electrical contractors employ 25,288 people at 1.41 times (electrician marketing). The 1,986 plumbing, heating and air-conditioning contractors pay $77,068 on average, against $73,693 nationally (HVAC marketing), and the 2,052 landscaping establishments employ 19,366 people (landscaping marketing).

Maryland’s 408 investment advice establishments pay an average of $229,740, against $167,820 for the industry nationally (financial advisor marketing). Manufacturing runs the other way: 2,838 establishments and 109,929 employees hold half the US share of jobs, at $82,718 average pay.

Maryland’s six metro areas, side by side

The Census file places six metro areas in Maryland, and three of them cross state lines. Each row counts the whole area. Philadelphia’s spans four states, and Washington’s takes in the District, Virginia and West Virginia. Baltimore-Columbia-Towson lies wholly inside Maryland and holds 68,827 establishments, 48 percent of the state’s total.

Salisbury2,85539,390$51,716

Source: U.S. Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023, metropolitan area file (whole metro areas, including parts outside Maryland; average pay computed by Growigami).

Washington pays the most of the six, $84,848 on average, which is $14,661 above Baltimore. Hagerstown-Martinsburg pays the least, at $49,721. Lexington Park is the second smallest by establishments, yet USTR credits it with $1.6 billion in goods exports in 2024, against $10.7 billion for Baltimore-Columbia-Towson.

For the state as a whole, USTR counts $16.6 billion in goods exports in 2025, 28th among the states. In 2024, 5,528 companies exported from Maryland locations, and 4,804 of them, 87 percent, had fewer than 500 employees.

How many marketing agencies are in Maryland?

In 2023 the Census counted 176 advertising agency establishments in Maryland with 2,571 employees, and 694 marketing consulting establishments with 8,153. Marketing consulting employs 1.47 times its US share of Maryland jobs, and advertising agencies employ 0.73 times theirs. Pay beats the national figure in both: $134,389 at the agencies against $106,841, and $103,412 in consulting against $83,009.

A freelancer with no payroll does not appear in these rows, because the Census series covers employer establishments only. The directories show a smaller set. Semrush’s Maryland list shows 6 agencies with an office in the state, and Clutch keeps a ranked Maryland list of its own. Ask firms from either directory where your account team actually sits.

What does marketing cost a Maryland firm?

Clutch’s Maryland FAQ gives statewide ranges, based on its own pricing data. Two of the five agency sites post a figure for their own work: Dragonfly and Maryland Local Marketing. BLS covers the in-house side.

Nationally, BLS puts the specialist median at $78,760 and the manager median at $166,790, so Maryland pays less on both counts. At Growigami each process starts at $1,999 a month and costs $500 more in its first month while we build it, and your first build is on us this month. Two processes cost $3,998 a month after the first month, plus any ad spend at cost.

What does an SEO company in Maryland charge?

Clutch’s figure for ongoing SEO or content work in Maryland is $3,000 to $10,000 a month. Ahrefs counts about 250 searches a month for “seo company maryland”, more than for the agency phrasing. Our Search process costs $1,999 a month for 200 pages, and $1,499 more buys the 500-page size. Every page starts from what your staff already know about your buyers.

When a nearby agency or a hire suits a Maryland firm

  • Your marketing is mostly photos and video. Plush shoots its own photography and video on location, and Maryland Local Marketing films at its clients’ businesses. We record people over a short call or build video from your screens, so a crew that can drive over has the edge here.
  • You run a restaurant, shop or consumer brand. Plush’s clients include restaurant and hospitality brands as well as retailers, and MGH’s case studies include bb.q Chicken and Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls. We build processes for B2B sellers and for professional and home-service firms.
  • Your budget fits a project. Dragonfly says its projects start at $1,000. Ours are monthly processes from $1,999, with a three months minimum.
  • You want a marketer on the payroll. A Maryland marketing specialist earns a median $76,370 a year and can sit in on your sales meetings. A fractional CMO gives you that senior hire part time.

If most of your marketing is screen work and you want the price before the first call, start with the process your firm is missing most.

Talk to sales. Give us read access to your CRM, and within a week we show you the first process we would build and what it would produce.

Questions

Questions about hiring a marketing agency in Maryland

How much does a marketing agency cost in Maryland?

Clutch's Maryland pricing data puts SEO or content retainers at $3,000 to $10,000 a month and integrated campaigns at $15,000 to $30,000 or more. Hourly consulting averages $100 to $149. Dragonfly, in Baltimore, says its projects start at $1,000, and Maryland Local Marketing sells a website plan at $2,000 a year. A Growigami process is priced from $1,999 a month. You pay ad spend at cost.

What does a digital marketing agency in Maryland do?

It runs the channels buyers use to find a firm: search, paid ads, social media, email and the website. Dragonfly lists SEO, paid advertising, content, social media, email and web analytics among its services, and Plush adds photo and video shot on location. At Growigami each channel is priced on its own, so a Maryland firm can begin with the one it lacks.

Can a remote firm help a Maryland company that sells to federal agencies?

Yes, with the marketing. Maryland Commerce tells tech companies that the military and federal government have a major presence in the state. Our outbound process researches the named accounts you sell to, such as prime contractors. It drafts a message for each contact. Bids and proposal writing are not on our price list, so your capture or proposal team keeps that work.

When will a Maryland firm see results?

Search takes months, by the ranking pages' own estimates: Plush says 60 to 90 days for organic rankings, and Dragonfly says three to six months. Paid ads move in weeks. Growigami does not forecast leads or revenue. Our commitment covers the start: a first process plan a week after you open your CRM to us, and that process running in about three weeks.

Can I check a page or ad before it runs?

Yes. You approve every ad, and you approve each page before it is published. Your seller reviews each outreach message, then sends it from their own account. On new leads, the right seller gets a first reply drafted, checks it and sends it.

How do I tell whether a Maryland agency is legit?

Check what you can verify. Dragonfly suggests independent reviews, certifications and clear monthly reporting, and it warns against anyone who guarantees first-place rankings. Clutch lists refusal to share analytics access as a red flag. Ask every firm, us included, for its price and term in writing. Ours are posted: $1,999 a month per process, three months, then 30 days' notice.

Does Growigami have an office in Maryland?

No. All Growigami work is remote, and there is no office or staff in Maryland. Your CRO meets your team on video, and each week's work appears in your CRM. If you want an agency you can visit, Maryland Local Marketing lists an office on LaSalle Road in Towson, and Mission gives a Baltimore address.
