The line: one record per pallet, from the receiving dock to the outbound trailer.

Dockmere is cold chain compliance software for food warehouses. It reads the sensors a warehouse already has and keeps each corrective action on the same record as the reading, so an audit pulls one report.

  • Who it is for: directors of operations and QA leads at cold storage warehouses and food distributors with 2 to 20 buildings. ICP: 31 deals
  • What it is: software that logs every reading from the dock and the rooms, with each excursion and its fix on the pallet’s record. 14 of 22 calls
  • What it replaces: the clipboard by the dock door and the binder a QA lead builds the week before an audit. 11 calls
  • Why we win: setup is seamless because Dockmere reads the probes already installed. Why we win: setup takes a day per building because Dockmere reads the probes already installed, where sensor vendors start with new hardware. 9 calls, 3 sites

Search “marketing agency new york” and Google’s first page leans on Manhattan: luxury and creative shops, two lists of city agencies and Yelp. None of the pages we read shows a price or mentions Buffalo, Rochester, Albany or Syracuse. Growigami is a remote third option at $1,999 a month per process, the same price anywhere in the state.

Growigami has no office or staff in New York State, and no New York client it can name. Each process is built by your CRO with your staff, over video. AI agents then do the weekly work, and you read the output in your CRM. It suits a firm of 10 to 99 people, or a practice or home-service business, that wants marketing run at a posted price.

How does New York compare with the US, by Census count?

New York had 541,313 employer establishments in 2023, fourth among the 50 states and DC, and 8,767,091 employees in the week of March 12. That is 2,766 establishments for every 100,000 residents, about 10.8% more than the US rate of 2,497. Average pay was $85,730, also fourth, and $17,388 above the US average of $68,342.

New York’s establishments run smaller than the national mix. Only 20.7% have 10 to 99 employees, against 24.6% for the US, and 77.1% have fewer than 10.

The table starts with the five tracked sectors where New York’s share of jobs sits furthest above the US share. The next six are the tracked sectors with the most employees besides law, leaving out the broad professional services group. The last column is a sector’s share of state jobs over its share of US jobs.

The New York City metro crosses the state line. It includes 12 New Jersey counties, and with them it counts 562,802 establishments, more than the 541,313 in New York State. Its average pay of $89,827 is $32,187 above Buffalo’s.

The seven upstate and Hudson Valley metros in the table hold 115,946 establishments between them. Of those seven, Rochester’s establishments are the largest on average, with about 18 employees each. Syracuse’s come close behind. Albany pays the most of the upstate metros, $65,409, which is $7,449 above Syracuse. Kingston’s establishments average about nine employees and pay the least, $47,892.

Chips in Clay, Wall Street jobs and Rochester’s largest private employer

In October 2022 the Governor’s office announced that Micron would invest up to $100 billion over 20-plus years in a memory chip campus. The planned site is White Pine Commerce Park, in the Town of Clay. That is in Onondaga County, part of the Syracuse metro, and the announcement projected 9,000 new Micron jobs. Firms that sell to a project of that size, or to its suppliers, work from named accounts.

The State Comptroller counted 223,600 securities industry jobs in New York State in 2025, more than twice the 102,600 in California, which ranked second. Upstate, the University of Rochester says that with UR Medicine and affiliates it has more than 39,000 employees. In a December 2025 release, it calls that group the largest private employer in Greater Rochester and upstate New York.

What does a marketing hire cost in New York?

The answer depends on where in the state you hire. These are BLS May 2025 medians for the two marketing occupations:

Area (BLS, May 2025)Market research analysts and marketing specialistsMarketing managers
New York State$98,580$181,200
New York-Newark-Jersey City metro$100,520$192,840
Albany-Schenectady-Troy metro$76,140$153,580
Rochester metro$77,170$149,440
Syracuse metro$77,110$155,360
Buffalo-Cheektowaga metro$75,990$144,390
United States$78,760$166,790

Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics, May 2025, median annual wages.

The four upstate metros sit $23,350 to $24,530 below the New York City metro on specialist pay, and all four are below the US median too. BLS counts 80,500 specialists in the whole state and 79,290 in the New York City metro, which includes northern New Jersey. The Growigami price is the same in Buffalo or in Brooklyn: $1,999 a month per process.

Of the 12 B2B marketing firms we compared in November 2026, six publish a price. The lowest monthly price is £3,500 plus project fees, at a UK firm, and the lowest in dollars is $5,000 a month. The three that publish a minimum term ask for 3 to 12 months, or 3 months’ notice.

New York’s 1,610 ad agencies and 3,447 marketing consultants

New York State has 1,610 advertising agency establishments, second among the states by count. They employ 45,266 people, 3.60 times the US share of jobs in the sector, at an average of $131,587 against $106,841 nationally.

The state’s 3,447 marketing consulting establishments rank fourth, with 23,458 employees at 1.19 times the US share. Their average pay was $119,543, against $83,009 for the US. The New York City metro, counting its New Jersey counties, has 1,626 advertising agency establishments on its own.

What Growigami runs for a New York State firm

On the processes you pick, AI agents handle the recurring weekly work, using what your staff told your CRO. Your CRO, who builds and proves each process, sets it up with your team and checks it against your CRM. Your people handle the calls and send outreach under their own names. The jobs and meetings stay theirs.

  • Search (Search): 200 pages a month (500 at the larger size). Each answers a question your buyers ask and is built to rank on Google and be cited in AI answers.
  • Outbound (Pipeline): every month, research on 500 target accounts and the reason each would talk now, plus a message for every contact. For a supplier to the Clay site or a Rochester health system, that list is the plan.
  • Paid ads (Paid and creative): a pair of channels from Google, LinkedIn, Meta and YouTube, with ad spend of up to $25,000 a month. Home-service firms also get Local Services Ads plus Business Profile upkeep.
  • Inbound lead follow-up: up to 300 leads a month. Each is looked up and handed to whoever should reply, with a draft ready.

The optional CRO review adds $1,499 a month for a monthly session, or $2,999 for weekly ones. Each process costs $500 more in its first month while we build it, and your first build is on us this month. From month two, running two processes costs $3,998 a month. Our New York City metro page, linked in the metro table above, covers that area’s 22 counties in detail.

When a Manhattan agency or a staff hire is the better buy

  • Your marketing is brand and creative work for consumers. VMGROUPE describes itself as a luxury branding agency, and YARD as an independent creative company. Growigami’s work is set up for B2B sellers, practices and home-service companies.
  • You want the agency in the room. Shoots, launches and workshops at your office favor a firm nearby, and every agency site we could read on the first page lists a Manhattan address.
  • You want one marketer on staff. An upstate specialist hire at a median of about $76,000 to $77,000 a year can work inside your business every day.

Growigami fits a New York firm, upstate or down, that wants search, outbound, ads or lead replies run every week at a posted price.

Questions

Marketing agency questions from New York State firms

How much does it cost to hire a marketing agency in New York?

None of the first-page pages we read posts a price, so the closest public figures are directory budgets. On page one of Semrush's New York SEO list, 34 of the 40 agencies show a budget per project. Twelve of those start at $5,000 or more, and twelve at $1,000 or less. One Growigami process is $1,999 a month, wherever you are in the state.

What are the top marketing agencies in New York?

The first page answers with two lists: Built In NYC names 17 digital agencies and Outsource Accelerator names 50. Both lists are city-focused. None of the 50 on Outsource Accelerator's list gives a location in Buffalo, Rochester, Albany or Syracuse. A shortlist is a start; the price, term and who does the work decide it.

Does an upstate firm get the same service as one in Manhattan?

Yes. Growigami works remotely, so a firm in Buffalo, Rochester, Albany or Syracuse starts the same way and pays the same $1,999 a month per process. Your CRO meets your team on video. Search pages and ads can be aimed at the counties and towns you serve.

Does Growigami have staff in New York?

No. Growigami has no office or staff anywhere in New York State, and every process runs remotely. The weekly output shows up in your CRM, and your CRO is on video calls. If you want an agency you can walk into, VMGROUPE, AMP and YARD all list Manhattan addresses.

Is a staff marketer cheaper than outsourcing in New York?

It depends on the metro. BLS put the May 2025 specialist median at $100,520 in the New York City metro and $75,990 in Buffalo, before benefits. A hire suits a firm that wants one person inside every day. Processes suit a firm that wants several channels run each week. One process plus a monthly CRO review costs $3,498 a month.

Can someone at my firm check work before it is published?

Yes. Any page, ad or message can wait for a person you name before it goes out, and outreach is sent by your own sellers after they review it. You decide who checks what with your CRO during setup.

How long is a Growigami contract?

You sign up for three months at least, and 30 days' notice ends it from then on. None of the first-page pages we read for marketing agency new york states a term. Ask any New York agency for its term and notice clause in writing before you sign.

Pick your first New York process.
