The line: one record per pallet, from the receiving dock to the outbound trailer.

Dockmere is cold chain compliance software for food warehouses. It reads the sensors a warehouse already has and keeps each corrective action on the same record as the reading, so an audit pulls one report.

  • Who it is for: directors of operations and QA leads at cold storage warehouses and food distributors with 2 to 20 buildings. ICP: 31 deals
  • What it is: software that logs every reading from the dock and the rooms, with each excursion and its fix on the pallet’s record. 14 of 22 calls
  • What it replaces: the clipboard by the dock door and the binder a QA lead builds the week before an audit. 11 calls
  • Why we win: setup is seamless because Dockmere reads the probes already installed. Why we win: setup takes a day per building because Dockmere reads the probes already installed, where sensor vendors start with new hardware. 9 calls, 3 sites

A marketing agency in Michigan runs a firm’s search, ads, social media and outreach for a monthly fee. On the first results page for “marketing agency michigan”, Designity posts $5,095 to $5,995 a month and Zoe Marketing starts at $3,000 (read 5 November 2026). Growigami, a remote third option, charges from $1,999 a month per process.

Growigami has no office or staff in Michigan. Setup runs over video calls with your team, and the weekly work lands in your CRM. That suits a firm that wants a posted price and the marketing done for it. A firm that wants to meet in person can find nine metro Detroit agencies on a single list from Zoe Marketing.

Does a Michigan firm need an agency it can drive to?

It does when the marketing depends on someone being there. Zoe Marketing’s list of metro Detroit agencies argues for local on familiarity, accessibility and keeping business in the local economy. A photo day on your shop floor or a weekly meeting at your office goes better with a team nearby.

Account research, search pages, ad campaigns and the first reply to an inquiry run on a screen. They come out the same whether the team sits in Southfield or somewhere else. What those pieces need to know comes from your engineers, estimators and sellers. Your CRO collects it on video calls.

A Michigan firm that hands off marketing can take one of two routes: an agency on retainer, or software that its own staff operates. Growigami is the middle route. Your CRO has run marketing and sales teams and builds each process alongside your people. After that, AI agents handle the weekly work, at a posted monthly price per process.

It is meant for Michigan companies of 10 to 99 people, and for professional and home-service firms, that want outreach, search, ads or lead follow-up handled each week.

What Growigami runs for a Michigan supplier or practice

Each week, on the processes you choose, AI agents research accounts and draft pages, ads and first replies. In the first weeks your CRO sets each one up with your staff, then reads what your CRM shows to adjust it. Sales calls, sending outreach from your domains and the work customers pay for stay with your team.

  • Outbound (Pipeline): each month we research 500 target accounts, find why each would talk now and write a message to every contact. For a supplier, the list can be OEM purchasing teams, plants or distributors. Your seller reads each message and sends it, and an interested reply lands with that seller on the day it arrives.
  • Events (Events): booth graphics, one-pagers and invites to the accounts you want to meet, for up to three shows a month. Every badge scan gets a follow-up written for that conversation.
  • Search (Search): 200 pages a month at the base size and 500 at the larger one, drafted from your team’s own answers. The pages aim for Google rankings and for citations in ChatGPT and Perplexity answers.
  • Paid ads (Paid and creative): two ad channels and as much as $25,000 a month of spend, with as many as two new landing pages each month. Contractors and practices also get Google Local Services Ads and Business Profile upkeep in this process.
  • Inbound lead follow-up: as many as 300 inquiries a month, researched whatever the hour and passed to whoever should answer, with a draft reply attached.

Pricing is per process, from $1,999 a month. A CRO review of the whole system is optional and extra: $1,499 a month for monthly sessions, $2,999 for weekly ones. Skip it and your team sets priorities while we keep every process running.

What the 2023 Census shows about Michigan employers

County Business Patterns found 229,564 Michigan establishments with paid staff in 2023. Per 100,000 residents that is 2,287, about 8 percent below the US figure of 2,497. They run larger than the national norm. Of Michigan’s establishments, 26.6 percent employ 10 to 99 people; nationally the share is 24.6 percent. In the week of March 12 the average establishment had 17.6 employees, where the US average was 16.7. Average pay was $61,194, against $68,342 for the US.

The table keeps the Growigami sectors where Michigan’s share of jobs is highest against the US, plus the two agency rows. It adds computer systems design and law offices, two large groups of business buyers that sit below the US share. The last column compares each sector’s share of Michigan jobs with its share of US jobs, and a 1.00x reading means Michigan matches the national share.

Manufacturing, exports and research

Manufacturing’s 12,192 establishments employ 604,978 people, 15.0 percent of the state’s counted employees, and Michigan ranks eighth by their number out of the 50 states and DC. Average manufacturing pay was $68,993, against $73,202 for the US. Our manufacturing marketing page covers how outreach and search work for that buyer.

USTR puts Michigan’s 2025 goods exports at $58.3 billion, tenth among the states. Transportation equipment made up $23.4 billion of that, and Canada bought $21.2 billion, 36 percent of the total. Of the 13,885 companies that exported from Michigan locations in 2023, 12,294 had fewer than 500 employees.

Fortune’s 2026 list counts 14 Fortune 500 headquarters in Michigan, from Ford in Dearborn and GM in Detroit to Stryker in Portage and Whirlpool in Benton Harbor. The National Science Foundation puts business spending on research and development in Michigan at $26.6 billion in 2023, 3.7 percent of the US total.

Practices, dealers and contractors

Health practices run above the US share. Michigan’s 1,331 chiropractic offices place eighth nationally by count and hold 1.26 times the US share of jobs (chiropractor marketing). Its 3,795 dental offices employ 33,989 people, at 1.14 times (dental marketing).

The 717 new car dealers employ 37,129 people, more than those dental offices do, at 1.14 times the US share (auto dealer marketing). Michigan has 3,680 insurance agencies and brokerages at 1.11 times (insurance agency marketing). Its 3,959 residential remodelers make it tenth by count (general contractor marketing).

Two big groups of business buyers sit below the US share. Michigan’s 3,049 computer systems design establishments hold 0.77 times, and its 3,750 law offices hold 0.75 times, with average pay of $108,573 against the US $125,580.

How Michigan’s 16 metro areas differ

County Business Patterns lists 16 metro areas in Michigan. Its eight biggest, ranked by employer establishments:

Source: Census County Business Patterns 2023, metro area file; average pay is payroll divided by employees, computed by Growigami. South Bend-Mishawaka spans Indiana and Michigan, and its row counts both.

Detroit-Warren-Dearborn holds 44.6 percent of the state’s employer establishments and 45.7 percent of its employees. Its average pay of $68,228 is within $114 of the US figure. Grand Rapids-Wyoming-Kentwood is just over a quarter of Detroit’s size by count, and its establishments are larger, at 19.6 employees each against 18.0.

Ann Arbor pays the most of the eight, $70,778 on average, and Flint the least, $50,797. Traverse City establishments average 11.7 employees, the smallest of the eight.

Exports put more distance between the metros. USTR’s 2024 metro figures show $40.6 billion in goods exports from Detroit-Warren-Dearborn and $6.5 billion from Grand Rapids-Wyoming-Kentwood, followed by Kalamazoo-Portage at $2.8 billion. Lansing-East Lansing and Flint recorded $1.1 billion each.

How many marketing agencies operate in Michigan?

The Census counted 358 advertising agency establishments and 972 marketing consulting establishments in Michigan in 2023, employing 5,721 and 14,094 people. By count, Michigan has a smaller slice of the country’s agencies than of its employers. It holds 2.31 percent of US advertising agency establishments and 1.86 percent of marketing consulting ones, against 2.75 percent of all establishments.

By jobs and pay, the two groups split. Advertising agencies hold 0.99 times the US share of jobs and pay $84,693 on average, against $106,841 nationally. Marketing consulting holds 1.55 times the US share and pays $107,366, above the US $83,009.

Solo marketers with no payroll are missing from both counts, because the Census series covers employers only.

What Michigan agencies charge and what a marketer earns

Designity’s 2026 guide lists Designity first among its own ten picks and posts its plan: $5,995 a month billed monthly, $5,495 quarterly or $5,095 annually, for 120 creative hours a month. The guide marks the other nine as custom pricing, though one of them, Oneupweb, posts SEO retainers from about $3,500 a month on its own pricing page. Zoe Marketing’s pricing page starts its plans at $3,000 a month with a six-month minimum. Thrive’s SEO pricing page starts small-business plans at $500 a month, while Marketing Success asks for a budget band before any price (all read 5 November 2026).

Nationally, the May 2025 medians were $78,760 for specialists and $166,790 for managers, so Michigan pays less for both roles. A Growigami process starts at $1,999 a month and costs $500 more in its first month while we build it, and your first build is on us this month. From month two, a pair of processes costs $3,998 a month, with ad spend billed at cost.

What would an SEO company in Michigan publish?

Of the first-page results, Thrive’s site is the one we found pricing SEO on its own, from $500 a month for a small business. For $1,999 a month, the Search process publishes up to 200 pages aimed at Google rankings and AI citations, and the 500-page tier adds $1,499 a month. A supplier’s pages can answer what its buyers ask about specs, certifications, lead times and service areas, drafted from its own engineers’ answers.

How should a Michigan firm choose a marketing agency?

Ask every firm the same five things, and get the answers on paper:

  • The monthly price for your scope. Designity’s guide marks nine of its ten picks as custom pricing.
  • Who does the work, and from where. Zoe’s nine picks all sit in metro Detroit. A firm in Grand Rapids or Lansing should ask whether the account team works near it.
  • What gets produced each month. A monthly count, like pages live or accounts researched, is easier to check than hours billed.
  • The term, and what stays yours. Get in writing that the ad accounts, the pages and the CRM records belong to you if you leave.
  • Who wrote the list. Designity and inBeat each rank themselves first on their own Michigan lists.

When a Michigan agency or an in-house marketer fits better

  • You need people on site. Shoot days at your plant, or a staffed booth at a show, favor a team nearby. Our on-site event support is an add-on at $2,499 an event, covering as many as three show days, plus travel at cost.
  • Your budget is below one process. Thrive’s SEO pricing starts at $500 a month, and its Detroit form’s lowest band is under $750. Each Growigami process is $1,999 a month and runs at least three months.
  • You sell mainly to consumers through creators. inBeat, first on its own Michigan list, sells influencer and creator content. Growigami’s work is set up for B2B buyers and for professional and home-service firms.
  • You want one marketing leader on staff. A Michigan marketing manager earns a median $138,510. A fractional CMO gives you that leader for part of the week.

Growigami is the better buy for a Michigan firm that wants weekly outreach, search, ads or lead follow-up at a price it can see, and is comfortable doing setup over video.

Questions

Questions Michigan firms ask about a marketing agency

What does a marketing agency in Michigan charge?

Three firms on the first results page post a price. Designity's plan is $5,095 to $5,995 a month depending on billing term. Zoe Marketing's plans start at $3,000 a month, and Thrive's SEO pricing page starts small-business plans at $500. Marketing Success asks for a budget band first, the lowest being $2,500 to $5,000. Growigami prices each process from $1,999 a month. Ad spend is billed at cost.

What kinds of marketing does a Michigan agency run?

The ranking pages list search, paid ads, social media, content, email and web design, and Thrive's Detroit page adds video and reputation management. Growigami runs search, ads, LinkedIn, email and video as separate monthly processes, and a website is a one-time build at $7,499. A Michigan firm can start with outreach or search and add ads, LinkedIn or email later.

Should a Michigan company hire in-house or outsource?

In-house wins when the work needs someone at your plant and in your sales meetings every week. In May 2025, BLS put the Michigan median at $66,780 for a marketing specialist and $138,510 for a marketing manager. Outsourcing wins when several channels need running at once. Add a monthly CRO review to one process and the total is $3,498 a month.

Can a firm in Grand Rapids, Lansing or Traverse City use Growigami?

Yes, because setup happens on video calls and the results sit in your CRM, so a Kentwood firm and a Southfield firm start identically. Search pages and ads can target the counties you sell into, and outreach goes to named accounts wherever they are. The Census counted 27,591 employer establishments in the Grand Rapids metro and 5,172 in Traverse City in 2023.

Where does the Growigami team work?

Remotely. Growigami has no office or staff in Michigan, and your CRO works with you over video. If you add the monthly CRO review, Slack questions between reviews are included. For an agency you can visit, Marketing Success lists an office in Bloomfield Hills, and all nine firms on Zoe Marketing's list are in metro Detroit.

Will anything go out without my say?

No. You approve each page and every ad before it goes live. Your seller reviews each outreach message, then sends it from their own account. A drafted reply to an inquiry goes out only when the person who gets the lead checks it and sends it.

How long is the commitment?

You commit for three months, and 30 days' notice ends it after that. Zoe Marketing's pricing page asks for a six-month minimum. Designity offers month-to-month plans with discounts for quarterly and annual billing, and Thrive's SEO pricing page offers month-to-month contracts. Ask any agency to put its term in writing before you sign.
