What an auditor asks for after a temperature excursion

The reading is the easy part. The auditor wants to see what your team did in the minutes after it.

Under the FDA Food Code, cold-held food stays at 41°F or below.1

Across 140 warehouses on Dockmere, the median excursion at a dock door was closed in 18 minutes in September.2

Fennick probes report every 60 seconds, so the timeline has no gaps.4

Detroit firms that search “seo company detroit” want someone to get their pages ranked on Google and named in AI answers. On that results page, Elit-Web posts SEO packages from $1,500 to $3,500 a month, and Clutch’s Detroit list shows minimum projects from $1,000 (read 5 November 2026). Growigami charges $1,999 a month for a Search process that publishes 200 pages.

Nobody from Growigami works in Michigan, and there is no Detroit office. Setup is a series of video calls, and the pages and reports arrive on a schedule you can check, wherever the firm sits in the metro.

What does an SEO company in Detroit charge?

Of the agency pages on the first results page, Elit-Web’s is the one that posts monthly prices, from $1,500 to $3,500 a month. Thrive’s Detroit SEO page asks for a budget band that starts under $750, and Thrive’s separate SEO pricing page starts small-business plans at $500 a month. Ottaway Digital’s contact form opens its budget list at $5,000 to $10,000.

Clutch and The Manifest show figures for many firms at once. Clutch’s Detroit SEO page, read 5 November 2026, shows 64 firms on its first page, 14 of them featured listings:

Hourly rate $200 to $3003

Source: Clutch, Top SEO Companies in Detroit, first page (ratings updated 5 November 2026), read 5 November 2026. Five firms list no minimum project and seven list no hourly rate.

A Clutch minimum is a project floor and says nothing about a monthly retainer. At the base size, Growigami’s Search process puts 200 pages live each month for $1,999. A process costs $500 more in its first month while we build it, and your first build is on us this month. The 500-page size adds $1,499 a month. Every process is on our price list.

Questions to put to a Detroit SEO firm

  • What is the monthly page count, and who drafts each page? Elit-Web’s packages count team hours and landing pages. Ask how many pages go live each month.
  • What is the term? Thrive’s own Detroit list says it works month to month. Ottaway and Elit-Web state no term on these pages.
  • Does the report cover AI answers? Thrive’s menu lists AI SEO services, though none of the three agency pages names ChatGPT or Perplexity. Ask whether anyone checks what those assistants say about you.
  • Who keeps the pages if you leave? Get it in writing that the content and the site stay yours.

Does a Detroit SEO company need a Detroit office?

Only if you want to meet in a room. Ottaway Digital says its “entire team is in-person and hands-on” at its headquarters on Big Beaver Road in Troy. That is a fair reason to pick it. Some of the ranking firms work from elsewhere: Thrive’s list of the 11 best Detroit SEO companies ranks Thrive first and gives its headquarters as Arlington, Texas.

The directories show a mix too. On Clutch’s first page, all 50 ranked firms give a Michigan address, 10 of them in Detroit and six each in Troy and Royal Oak. Its 14 featured listings show “Serves Detroit, MI” and no address. The Manifest lists Seota Digital Marketing at a Troy address and describes it as based in Frisco, Texas.

The local detail a page needs, such as the counties you cover and the questions customers phone in with, sits with your own staff. Your CRO collects it over video before drafting starts. Our B2B SEO page covers how that works for firms that sell to other businesses.

What the Census counts in the Detroit-Warren-Dearborn metro

County Business Patterns treats the metro as six counties: Lapeer, Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair and Wayne. Under the federal standards the Census Bureau publishes, a metro area needs at least one urban area of 50,000 or more inhabitants. Outlying counties join it on commuting to and from the central counties.

The metro had 102,430 employer establishments and 1,846,717 employees in the week of March 12, 2023, or 44.6 percent of the establishments in Michigan. Average pay was $68,228, above the state’s $61,194 and $114 below the US average. Of the metro’s establishments, 25.8 percent have between 10 and 99 employees, against 26.6 percent statewide and 24.6 percent nationally. Our Michigan page compares the state’s other metro areas.

The table starts with the two agency rows, then six sectors that hold more than the US share of jobs. It ends with three trades where metro pay runs above the US average for the same work.

Source: U.S. Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023 (employer establishments; employees are for the week of March 12; average pay is annual payroll divided by employees, computed by Growigami).

A share of 1.00x would match the US. The counts leave out owners with no employees and most government workers.

Automotive, engineering and the Canadian border

The metro’s 5,103 manufacturing establishments rank sixth of 387 metro areas and employ 240,214 people (manufacturing marketing). Fortune’s 2026 list puts nine Fortune 500 headquarters in the six counties, among them Ford and General Motors. USTR counts $40.6 billion in 2024 goods exports from the metro. The Bureau of Transportation Statistics names Detroit the top truck port for US freight with Canada in 2025.

The Detroit Regional Partnership, citing data from the vendor Lightcast, puts the six-county metro at 94,957 engineers in 2025 and ranks it second for engineers per capita. Computer systems design, the Census industry that includes managed IT providers, counts 1,766 establishments here at 1.19 times the US share of jobs (MSP marketing).

Law offices and the trades

The metro’s 2,130 law offices pay $117,741 on average and hold 1.08 times the US share of jobs (law firm marketing). Its 798 electrical contractors pay $91,262 on average, against $76,545 nationally (electrician marketing). Landscaping ranks ninth among metros by its 1,711 establishments, and pays $70,460 against $51,286 for the US (landscaping marketing). The 1,107 plumbing, heating and air-conditioning contractors employ 12,387 people (HVAC marketing).

The metro’s own agency base

Detroit-Warren-Dearborn has 208 advertising agency establishments with 4,775 employees and 554 marketing consulting establishments with 11,620. That is 58.1 percent of Michigan’s advertising agencies and 57.0 percent of its marketing consulting establishments, against 44.6 percent of all its establishments. Ad agency pay averages $84,683 here and $106,841 across the US. Marketing consulting averages $113,599 against $83,009.

What Growigami runs for a metro Detroit supplier or firm

On the processes you picked, the weekly drafting falls to AI agents: pages, ads and messages built from your team’s answers, released after you approve them, on the calendar your CRO set. Before that, your CRO designs each process with your staff and proves it on your CRM data. Your people spend their time on short question calls and on the leads.

Search: 200 pages a month and an AI answer report

At the base size the Search process puts out 200 pages a month, and the larger size puts out 500. Every page targets one buyer question, with a Google ranking and a ChatGPT or Perplexity citation as the aim. Every month we ask the assistants those questions and list which answers name you. Our AI search optimization page goes deeper on that check.

Ads and Business Profile, priced separately

Thrive’s Detroit page sells ads and SEO from one agency. At Growigami the Paid process is a separate $1,999 a month. It runs two ad channels with spend up to $25,000 a month, plus Local Services Ads and upkeep of your Google Business Profile. Ad copy is drafted by AI agents, and every campaign has a landing page of its own. Spend is billed at cost.

Trade shows for suppliers

The Battery Show returns to Huntington Place on October 11 to 14, 2027. Its organizer’s page cites 1,000 exhibitors and more than 16,000 engineers, executives and other attendees. The Detroit Auto Show holds its Industry Day on January 14, 2027, and SAE’s WCX runs April 27 to 29, 2027, in Novi. Our Events process books meetings at your booth with the accounts you name and sends a written follow-up after each badge scan. Booth staffing from us costs $2,499 per event, with travel billed at cost.

Outreach to named accounts

A supplier that sells to OEM buyers or plants works from a short list. The Pipeline process researches 500 of those accounts a month and drafts a note to each buyer there. Your seller sends each note, and any reply reaches that seller on the same day.

Reviewing the whole system with a CRO is an optional extra, at $1,499 a month for monthly sessions or $2,999 for weekly ones. Your CRO still builds every process without it.

Detroit marketing pay next to an SEO quote

BLS put the metro’s median at $77,100 a year for market research analysts and marketing specialists and $149,310 for marketing managers in May 2025. The specialist figure is $10,320 above the Michigan median and $1,660 below the US one. Hiring both would cost $226,410 a year in salary alone.

A single Growigami process with a monthly CRO review is $3,498 a month. Two processes cost $3,998 a month from the second month.

When a local Detroit SEO firm is the better buy

  • You want a one-off audit or a fixed project. Clutch shows 27 Detroit SEO firms with minimum projects of $1,000 or more. A short project with one of them can cost less than three months of a process.
  • You want the team in the room. Ottaway’s team works in person in Troy, and several Clutch firms list Royal Oak or Troy addresses.
  • Your site needs footage from the shop floor. Our video work is recorded on a call or built from screen captures, while a local crew can film on site.
  • You mainly need Maps and a few pages. A single-location shop can start with Thrive, whose SEO pricing starts at $500 a month for a small business.

Pick Growigami if the job is 200 published pages a month at a price you can read on our site. Outreach, ads and trade-show follow-up can come from the same team later.

Talk to sales. Give us read access to your CRM, and within a week we show you the first process we would build and what it would produce.

Questions

What Detroit buyers ask an SEO company

How much should a Detroit business expect to pay for SEO?

Expect a monthly package, a project quote or an hourly rate. Elit-Web's Detroit page posts SEO packages from $1,500 to $3,500 a month, and Thrive's SEO pricing starts at $500 a month. Clutch's Detroit SEO page shows 27 of 64 firms with a minimum project of $1,000 or more. Of the 64, 27 bill $100 to $149 an hour. Growigami's Search process is $1,999 a month for 200 pages.

What does an SEO company do?

An SEO company works out which searches your buyers run and builds or repairs the pages that match, so Google ranks the site and AI assistants cite it. Elit-Web's Detroit page lists audits, local search and lead generation; Ottaway adds web design and paid search. Our Search process publishes 200 pages a month drafted from your team's knowledge.

Is SEO dead now that buyers ask AI?

Search still sends buyers to web pages, now through Google and through AI assistants that cite pages in their answers. Our Search process writes for both, and each month it reports which ChatGPT and Perplexity answers name your firm. We report what the assistants say. We cannot make one name you.

Is publishing 200 pages a month safe with Google?

It is when each page helps the reader. Google's spam policies call it scaled content abuse when a site produces many pages mainly to game rankings, and they apply that test no matter how the content is created. Each of our pages begins with a real buyer question and your team's answer to it. You approve each page before it is published.

Do you promise first-page rankings in Detroit?

Growigami makes no ranking promise. What you can check is the scope: 200 pages a month on the base size and a monthly report on which assistant answers mention your firm. If those results do not justify the cost, 30 days' notice ends the process once the first three months are done.

What does my team have to do?

Answer questions on short video calls. During setup your CRO works out with your people which searches and buyer questions matter, product by product. After that, your team's answers become the pages, and you approve each page before it goes live.

Can I keep my current SEO firm and add Growigami?

Yes. A local agency can keep the technical fixes or the Business Profile work while our Search process adds pages. Tell us what the other firm handles, and your CRO plans the 200 pages around it so the two cover different questions.

Start Detroit search with 200 pages.

Give us read access to your CRM. Within a week we show you the first process we would build and what it would produce.
