The line: one record per pallet, from the receiving dock to the outbound trailer.

Dockmere is cold chain compliance software for food warehouses. It reads the sensors a warehouse already has and keeps each corrective action on the same record as the reading, so an audit pulls one report.

  • Who it is for: directors of operations and QA leads at cold storage warehouses and food distributors with 2 to 20 buildings. ICP: 31 deals
  • What it is: software that logs every reading from the dock and the rooms, with each excursion and its fix on the pallet’s record. 14 of 22 calls
  • What it replaces: the clipboard by the dock door and the binder a QA lead builds the week before an audit. 11 calls
  • Why we win: setup is seamless because Dockmere reads the probes already installed. Why we win: setup takes a day per building because Dockmere reads the probes already installed, where sensor vendors start with new hardware. 9 calls, 3 sites

A marketing agency in Tennessee sells search, ads, social media and web design. The latest results page Ahrefs holds for “marketing agency tennessee”, dated February 2024, has five agency homepages that still load. All five are in the Nashville area, and none lists a price. Growigami is a remote third option, at $1,999 a month per process.

Growigami has no Tennessee office or staff, and it names no Tennessee clients. Setup runs over video with your team, and each process reports into your CRM.

Do Tennessee firms need a Nashville agency?

Every agency homepage on that page is in the Nashville area. FoxFuel signs its homepage as “an independent Nashville-based creative agency” in capital letters. GS&F says it is “a national agency based in Nashville” and an employee-owned one, with a 46-year history. 5by5, at a Brentwood address, is 100 percent employee-owned, and BRND House is a hospitality shop in Nashville and Austin. The bohan homepage now reads “bohan is now” above a link to a new site. Parachute Media’s site no longer loads, so the stored page is already out of date.

A Memphis, Knoxville or Johnson City owner reading that page is choosing an agency hours away by road, or one found through a directory. DesignRush’s Tennessee list spreads wider: of 50 first-page profiles, 26 list Nashville, 8 Memphis and 3 Chattanooga. Its labels deserve a second look. DD.NYC appears under Nashville while its blurb says it works “from its New York City headquarters,” and Digital Ink appears there too, founded in Carlsbad.

Distance only matters for the work that needs a room. Search pages, ad campaigns, outreach and replies to new leads are written from what your people know and run the same from anywhere. That is the work Growigami does, over video.

What Growigami runs for Tennessee firms, week by week

AI agents turn out each week’s drafts on the processes you choose. Your CRO, who has led marketing and sales teams, designs each process with your staff, proves it against your CRM, then hands the repeat drafting to the agents. Your people stay on the phones, the quotes and the jobs.

Each process starts at $1,999 a month at its first size.

  • Search (Search): 200 pages a month, or 500 at the larger size. A page answers one question a Tennessee buyer asks, in your staff’s words, so Google can rank it and ChatGPT or Perplexity can cite it.
  • Outbound (Pipeline): 500 target accounts a month, each one researched, with a note drafted to every contact. Your seller sends from their own account, and replies return to that seller the same day.
  • Paid ads (Paid and creative): two channels picked from Google, Meta, LinkedIn and YouTube, with up to $25,000 a month in spend at cost. As many as two new landing pages a month come with it. Local Services Ads and Business Profile work are part of it for home-service firms.
  • Lead follow-up: up to 300 inbound leads a month, each researched and sent to whoever should answer with a reply drafted. Leads nobody touches go back to your team.

A standing review with your CRO is an optional extra, $1,499 a month for monthly sessions or $2,999 for weekly. Without one, your team steers and we keep each process running.

Tennessee’s employers by sector, from the 2023 Census

The Census counted 150,129 employer establishments in Tennessee in 2023, each a location with at least one paid employee, and 2,971,417 employees in the week of March 12. That is 2,107 establishments per 100,000 residents, about 15.6 percent fewer than the US rate of 2,497. They run larger, though. Of the 150,129, 43,281 had 10 to 99 employees, 28.8 percent against 24.6 percent nationally, and the average establishment had 19.8 employees against 16.7. Average pay was $59,170, or $9,172 below the US.

Trucking, the state’s most concentrated freight sector, opens the table. The next three rows are the trades, practices and plants we write for with the highest share of Tennessee jobs against the US. The next two are the largest employers among the trades and dealers. Law and computer services follow, two professional groups that run well below the US. The agency base closes the table.

The share column compares a sector’s slice of Tennessee jobs with its slice of US jobs. At 1.81x, trucking holds nearly twice the national share.

Freight, plants and auto

Trucking leads. Tennessee’s 2,768 truck transportation establishments employ 65,211 people, and the wider transportation and warehousing sector has 5,285 establishments and 188,529 employees at 1.35 times the US share. Our logistics marketing page covers selling to shippers and carriers.

Manufacturing employs 357,878 people in Tennessee across 5,787 establishments, 1.37 times the US share, at an average of $66,056 ($73,202 nationally) (manufacturing marketing). TNECD counts more than 144,700 Tennesseans employed in automotive and more than 900 automotive companies, with four automakers building in the state. USTR puts Tennessee’s 2025 goods exports at $37.7 billion, with computer and electronic products the largest manufacturing category at $9.3 billion. It counts 7,081 companies exporting from Tennessee locations in 2023, and 5,852 of them, 83 percent, had fewer than 500 employees.

The state’s 430 new car dealers employ 22,736 people and rank 18th by count among the states (auto dealer marketing).

Pest control, trades and practices

Pest control stands out among the home services. Tennessee’s 424 exterminating and pest control establishments rank 10th of 51 by count and hold 1.43 times the US share of jobs (pest control marketing). The 1,899 plumbing, heating and air-conditioning contractors employ 25,248 people (HVAC marketing), and the 720 veterinary practices rank 15th of 51 (veterinary marketing).

Professional services run thinner. Law offices hold 0.58 times the US share of jobs and computer systems design 0.49 times, and software publishers only 0.23 times.

Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville and the other metros

The Census places ten metro areas in Tennessee, and four of the eight largest cross a state line. Memphis takes in counties in Mississippi and Arkansas, Chattanooga in Georgia, Kingsport-Bristol in Virginia and Clarksville in Kentucky. Their rows include those counties.

Source: U.S. Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023, metropolitan area file; average pay computed by Growigami.

The Nashville metro lies wholly inside Tennessee and holds 33.9 percent of the state’s employer establishments. It has 24,779 more than the Memphis metro and pays $6,600 more on average. Memphis establishments are the larger of the two, at 21.5 employees each against 19.9. Knoxville sits third, close to the state average on pay at $58,972, and Clarksville pays the least of the eight, $45,163.

Tennessee’s marketing agencies, counted

Tennessee had 203 advertising agency establishments in 2023, with 2,138 employees, and 701 marketing consulting establishments with 4,370. Both run below the US share of jobs, at 0.50 and 0.65 times. Average pay was $93,532 at the agencies, against $106,841 nationally, and $71,432 in marketing consulting, against $83,009.

The state holds 1.80 percent of US employer establishments but 1.31 percent of US advertising agencies and 1.34 percent of marketing consulting establishments. Those counts leave out firms with no paid employees: in the SBA’s 2025 profile, 637,340 of Tennessee’s 741,196 small businesses had no employees in 2022.

What do Tennessee agencies and marketing hires cost?

The five page-one homepages show no prices. Directories fill the gap with hourly rates: on DesignRush’s Tennessee list, the 35 first-page agencies that show one range from $75 to $250 an hour, with a median of $149. Of the 33 that show a minimum budget, 21 put it at $1,000 to $10,000 and 8 at $10,000 to $25,000.

When a Tennessee agency or an in-house marketer fits better

  • Your brand lives in hospitality or entertainment. BRND House’s homepage shows a Nashville restaurant launch built on press, influencers and preview dinners. Our processes are built for B2B buyers and service firms.
  • You want a long creative partnership with owners on the account. GS&F and 5by5 are employee-owned, and GS&F cites a 46-year history.
  • You need people at your site. A local crew can shoot at your plant or staff your booth. We record people over a short call and build video from your screens.
  • You want one marketer on your payroll. At a median $69,790 in Tennessee, a specialist can sit with your sales team every day. Our fractional marketing page covers the part-time version.

Growigami suits a Tennessee firm, in any of the ten metros or outside them, that wants weekly marketing work done at a price it can see first.

Questions

What owners ask before hiring a marketing agency

How much does a marketing agency in Tennessee charge?

On page one, none of the five agency homepages we read posts a monthly fee. DesignRush's Tennessee list shows hourly rates for 35 of its 50 first-page agencies, from $75 to $250, with a median of $149. Most of its minimum budgets fall between $1,000 and $10,000. Growigami posts its own: $1,999 a month per process.

Do I need a Nashville agency if my firm is in Memphis or Knoxville?

Only if you want to meet in person. In the latest page one we could get for this search, from February 2024, every agency homepage is in the Nashville area, so a Memphis or Knoxville owner is already choosing an agency hours away by road. Pages, ads and outreach work the same from any distance. Growigami does all of it over video calls, with no Tennessee office.

What does an SEO company in Tennessee do?

It gets a firm's pages showing up when Tennessee buyers search Google, look at the map pack or ask an AI assistant. Ahrefs counts 100 US searches a month for seo company tennessee. Growigami's Search process puts out 200 pages a month, each written from your staff's answers, and checks monthly which AI answers name your firm.

Is hiring a marketer cheaper than an agency in Tennessee?

For one channel, sometimes. BLS put the Tennessee median at $69,790 a year for a marketing specialist and $131,990 for a marketing manager in May 2025. Those are $8,970 and $34,800 below the US medians. A specialist still covers one person's hours. One Growigami process costs $1,999 a month, and $3,498 with a monthly CRO review.

Can a Chattanooga or Tri-Cities firm use Growigami?

Yes. Setup happens over video and the work reports into your CRM, so location makes no difference to how it starts. Within a week of CRM read access you see the process we would build first. Pages and ads target the counties you serve, including the Georgia or Virginia side of a metro.

Does Growigami have an office in Tennessee?

No. Growigami has no office or staff anywhere in Tennessee and names no Tennessee clients. Your CRO works with your team over video. If you want an agency down the road, the page-one homepages for this search are all in the Nashville area, and DesignRush lists agencies in Memphis and Chattanooga too.

Can I approve an ad before it runs?

Yes. You can see any ad, page or message before it goes out, and outreach is sent by your own salesperson after they read it. Your CRO and your team agree during setup who looks at what, so approval sits with whoever already handles it.
