Which El Paso sectors employ the most, and pay what?
For County Business Patterns, the El Paso metro is two counties, El Paso and Hudspeth. A Census metro area is a county group built around at least one urban area of 50,000 or more inhabitants. Neighboring counties are added when enough of their workers commute to or from the core county.
In 2023 the metro counted 16,311 employer establishments, 83rd among 387 US metros and 2.4 percent of the Texas total, with 254,660 employees in the week of March 12. Average pay was $42,774, which ranks 373rd of the 387 metros and sits below Texas ($67,014) and the US ($68,342). 27.1 percent of establishments have 10 to 99 employees, a larger share than in Texas (26.0) or the US (24.6).
The first five rows cover sectors on our list where El Paso holds at least the US share of jobs. Manufacturing and law follow because they pay above the metro average. HVAC contractors and professional services come next, then the two marketing rows. Share of jobs vs US compares each sector’s share of El Paso employment with its share nationally.

Source: U.S. Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023 (employer establishments; employees are for the week of March 12; average pay is annual payroll divided by employees, computed by Growigami).
These counts include only establishments with paid employees. Self-employed owners and most government jobs are outside them.
Dealers, clinics and contractors
El Paso’s 54 new car dealers employ 2,809 people, 1.36 times the US share of jobs (auto dealer marketing). The 203 dental offices employ 1,929 (dental marketing), and the 66 roofing contractor establishments employ 420 (roofing marketing). Its 160 electrical contractors employ 1,923 people at $48,338 on average, against $76,545 nationally (electrician marketing).
Trade through Ysleta and the bridges
USTR puts El Paso’s 2024 goods exports at $41.3 billion, more than Austin ($17.4 billion) and San Antonio ($11.9 billion) together. TxDOT’s border sheet says the Ysleta port of entry handled $83.4 billion of US-Mexico trade in 2024 and the El Paso port of entry $20.6 billion. The metro’s 183 freight transportation arrangement establishments, the industry that covers freight forwarders and customs brokers, employ 2,427 people, 4.1 times the US share of jobs (logistics marketing). The metro’s 521 manufacturing establishments employ 16,238 people (manufacturing marketing).
The Borderplex Alliance, the region’s economic development group, says it has helped create more than 27,000 direct jobs since 2013. Helen of Troy files with the SEC from a mailing address on East Main Street in El Paso, with its business address listed in Bermuda.
Fort Bliss and UTEP
The Texas Comptroller counts 41,527 direct employees at Fort Bliss in 2025, 30,288 of them active-duty. UTEP reports a fall 2026 enrollment of 27,368, its highest.
Few local agency employers
El Paso has 23 advertising agency establishments with 89 employees and 48 marketing consulting establishments with 144. Each holds about a quarter of the US share of jobs, 0.24 and 0.25 times. Average pay is $46,146 at the agencies against $106,841 nationally, and $31,653 in consulting against $83,009.
Does an El Paso business need a bilingual, local agency?
For Spanish-language campaigns, DirectoryOne’s El Paso page sells “Bilingual SEO strategies (English + Spanish)”. Growigami can run its processes in Spanish, so language alone does not send you to a local shop. Ask for Spanish samples in your trade before you sign, and have a fluent person on your team read them.
For search, ads and lead follow-up in English or Spanish, the work runs the same from anywhere. Four of the five agency pages on page one give no El Paso street address: Thrive, Anytime, Elit-Web and DirectoryOne. DirectoryOne’s contact address is in Houston, though it describes a “100% El Paso-based team”. Elit-Web says it serves “all cities worldwide”. Clutch’s list names El Paso firms such as AGI Marketing and Phidev.
What Growigami runs for El Paso clinics and shippers
AI agents draft the weekly pages, replies and messages on the processes you buy. You approve each page and ad, your team checks and sends the lead replies and outbound messages, and the work goes out on the schedule your CRO sets. Your CRO has run marketing and sales teams and builds each process with your staff before handing the weekly work to the agents. Your people keep the calls, the appointments and the deliveries.

Search pages for El Paso customers
The Search process publishes 200 pages a month at its base size, each answering a question El Paso customers ask in the words your staff uses. Pages aim to rank on Google and to be quoted in ChatGPT and Perplexity answers. Each month we test your customers’ questions on those assistants and show which answers name your business.
Quote requests and Local Services Ads
Inbound lead follow-up covers up to 300 leads a month. Each arrives researched, goes to the right person with a reply drafted, and returns to your team if nobody picks it up. Ads sit in the Paid and creative process: Local Services Ads, Business Profile work, and Google and Meta campaigns with spend of up to $25,000 a month.
Outbound and partners for cross-border sellers
A customs broker, carrier or plant supplier sells to named accounts. The Pipeline process researches 500 of them a month and writes to each contact for your seller to review and send. The Partnerships process finds 40 companies a month that already sell to your buyers and pitches each one.
A standing CRO review is optional: $1,499 a month, or $2,999 for weekly sessions. The statewide view, with Houston and the other metros, is on our Texas page.
When a local El Paso shop beats a remote process
A budget under one process. Anytime’s lowest budget band is $750 to $1,500 a month, below $1,999.
A firm down the street. AGI lists 1370 Pullman Drive and says it has worked since 1997.
A marketer on payroll. BLS counts 800 marketing specialists in the metro at a $50,680 median. A hire can visit your lots and clinics.
Growigami fits an El Paso business that wants search, lead replies or outbound run each week, in English or Spanish, at a posted price.
Talk to sales. Give us read access to your CRM, and within a week we show you the first process we would build and what it would produce.
Questions
Questions El Paso owners put to an SEO company
What work does an El Paso SEO company handle?
It gets your business found when nearby customers search. Anytime Digital Marketing's El Paso page covers local listings, reviews and location pages, and Thrive adds site speed and usability work. Growigami's Search process covers the pages: 200 a month, each starting from an answer your staff gave and aimed at Google and AI assistants. Business Profile work and Local Services Ads sit in the Paid process.
Is SEO still worth it in 2026?
It is worth it when your customers search before they call. Ahrefs counts about 150 US searches a month for 'seo company el paso' alone. Searches now end in AI answers as well as links, so Growigami checks each month which assistant answers name you. We do not promise rankings, and you can stop with 30 days' notice after three months.
Do I need an SEO company that works in Spanish?
If many of your customers search in Spanish, yes. DirectoryOne's El Paso page sells bilingual SEO in English and Spanish. Growigami can run its processes in Spanish, pages and ads included. Ask any provider, us included, for Spanish samples in your trade, and have a fluent person on your team read them.
How much is a marketing salary in El Paso?
The BLS median for El Paso market research analysts and marketing specialists was $50,680 in May 2025, and for marketing managers $114,160. The Texas medians were $72,520 and $147,880, and the US medians $78,760 and $166,790. Add benefits and payroll taxes to either figure.
Does Growigami have an office in El Paso?
No. Growigami has no office or staff in El Paso. You meet your CRO on video, and the results arrive in your CRM. AGI lists an office on Pullman Drive and says it has been in business since 1997, if you want a firm you can visit.
Which process should an El Paso business start with?
The one closest to where customers already reach you. If they search, start with Search. If quote requests arrive and wait, start with inbound lead follow-up. If you sell to shippers, plants or customs brokers, start with outbound. Each is $1,999 a month and costs $500 more in its first month while we build it, and your first build is on us this month.
Who checks the pages before they go live?
You do. You approve each page before it goes live, and your CRO sets up with you who on your team reads each batch. Since each page starts from your own staff's answers, the read is a check of facts they supplied.
Put one process to work in El Paso.
Give us read access to your CRM. Within a week we show you the first process we would build and what it would produce.
